You bastards may take, exactly what i give you!

I thought I'd love this game, but really I just didn't understand what was happening. Not sure If I'm too stupid for this game or if the game just doesn't make sense. Very cool aesthetic tho.

Easily one of the best I have ever played. Don’t think about it too much, just buy it and play it. Truly innovative, unique, and thought provoking in many ways.

A very stylish deduction game putting you in the shoes of an insurance claims investigator, having to account for all 60 people on the manifest of a ghost ship, the Obra Dinn. The game really rewards methodically working through all the different deaths in your notebook, where all the information about each demise is stored. Only by intimately learning about all people aboard will you solve the whole investigation, which works in a very natural and logical manner. My only (but very big) annoyance with the game was with one aspect of the presentation: For every single one of the 60 corpses you find, you have to listen to an annoyingly long audio queue before you can even interact with it, and once you interacted with it, you walk around the crime scene listening to a whole song before you can enter any information into your notebook. This makes up for approximately a minute per dead body, so with 60 of them you spend a whole hour of this ~8 hour game doing nothing. Still very worth it.

And so brand new Audio-detective genre was designed by a pure genius LUCAS POPE

The only thing bringing it down its that annoying flying thing

This game made me feel smart. The puzzles and mystery are very engaging and satisfying to unravel. The game is super deliberate in what it tells you and lets you trust that if you're stuck its because you've not looked carefully enough rather than something being to obtuse or unclear.

good game but honestly not for me

I extremely like the idea, but I kinda feel like the story doesn't live up to the hype. I was expecting something more... well, maybe that is my problem. Great game either way

JUEGAZO.

Brilliant design, with a compelling story that unfolds brilliantly throughout each death.

A simple game with simple yet effective art. Solve the mystery of the Obra Dinn by looking at brief scenes of life on the ship.

I thought I would struggle with this game but it's a lot more simple than I thought as long as you literally scrutinize very detail. The feeling you get when you solve several deaths/ disappearances at a time is the most satisfying feeling ever and you get to enjoy the atmosphere, art style, voice acting, and music of the game too.

Really? Shoes?

Other than that great game, great game.

Incredibly unique, interesting and fun. I really hope we get more murder / mystery type games like this, especially set in this era.

I finished this game a couple days ago and I'm still obsessed with it

this kicked my ass, amazing soundtrack not very difficult but sometimes i'd have to brute force a guess or too but that's just me being dumb

A game I really wanted to like more than I did. While the mystery and deduction aspects of this game are unmatched compared to anything else I have ever played, the actual playing of the game was frequently unfun. The appeal of the game is walking through still dioramas where you are unable to interact, and are there to observe. That's all well and good, but for me, 9 hours of you being unable to do a single verb on the world around you is too much. The graphical style and story also didn't do anything for me personally. I will remember the mystery and deductions fondly, but no other aspect of the game really stood out to me as particularly good.

Why the fuck is the memory sound so loud sometimes

One of the most difficult detective quests that are generally possible. The very opportunity to explore the past is implemented perfectly, but God, how meticulous everything is. The ending is one of the strange ones, although with a non-linear narrative it was probably planned that way. The game is not for me, but this project is definitely of interest to many people and will continue to be of interest.

Conceptually, pretty fantastic, and the closest thing I've experienced to Outer Wilds since playing it a couple years ago. However, there are a few key mechanics (or lack thereof) that make this a less freeing adventure than I might hope. For one thing, I hate the fact that you can't take notes on characters, such as their attitudes towards other characters, their assumed associations, etc. Leaving me to try to remember all the faces and all the little facts I discovered about them is pretty aggravating when, if provided with a notes feature, I could feel proud of myself for putting things together faster than the game wanted me to. Another thing that bothers me is the part where the game says "oh hey, there's another body over there to check out, go check it out!" Like, yeah, sure, I'd love to, but right now I want to further inspect the scene you just showed me, as well as refer to my journal to try to piece things together. Just a bit more on rails than I would like.

Great game except for the fucking socks
