If you make a new dimension every turn, the game turns into "Whoever's PC Overheats Last Wins" but that doesn't stop it from being an outright gigglefest. A wonderful gimmick for bad chess players.
5D Chess with Multiverse Time Travel does exactly what it set out to do. Making chess even more confusing. Overall, it is a fun experience, especially with friends.

Honestly, the game isn't actually that complicated in concept (after a while). Playing the puzzles definitely gives you a better understanding of the game's mechanics and gimmicks. After that, great! You kind* of understand what's going on. Maybe. You just need to, what? Keep track of the potentially infinite amount of alternative universe and every single move you made in the past in all of them? That's the hard part:
