Very well made when it comes to presentation and content but this game doesn't respect it's players time. The basic level design is more difficult than doing 100% completion of the entire original trilogy. Completely mean and sadistic level design. The new characters are fun and interesting to play as but it adds insult to injury when after beating their segments of a level you end up repeating the rest of the previous crash level you just struggled with. I refuse to ever 100% this game, the bonus requisites are way too high.

Crash 4 is an amazing follow up to the first three classic PS1 Crash Bandicoot games. At the same time, I think this is the worst game I have ever tried to 100% complete.

This game does a lot of things that I love. The music is good, the characters look great, the alternate costumes are neat, the level design is super fun and the multiple playable characters are for the most part great additions that make this my favorite Crash Bandicoot game by far.

However...It is when I want to experience everything that this game has to offer that I feel like I never want to touch this game ever again.

The difficulty in this game is quite frankly absurd. I get that Crash Bandicoot games are like the Dark Souls of platformers and all that stupid nonsense...But this is just unfathomably too much.

- An excesive amount of precise platforming challenges.
- Constant repetition of already pretty hard levels with multiple characters.
- Secrets hidden absolutely everywhere.
- Levels with more than 100, 200, 300 crates to break...I think there is one with up to 500 fucking crates!!!
- And worst of all, levels that are too. FUCKING. LONG!

Now, it's already bad enough to play a hard level that overstays its welcome...But when you have to play it multiple times??!!! WITHOUT DYING?!!!!

These are not just some levels. This is like EVERY LEVEL! Either they are too hard, or too long or too much shit to do, or ALL OF THEM!

I loved this game for the most part, but it truly was one of my worst experiences trying to complete a videogame and I just had a bad time during most of those constant level replays...

I don't want to say that I will never play it again because it makes me sad. However, I'm certain, that I will never try to 100% it ever again...And honestly...I don't think anyone should.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is a blast from the past, but with a twist! It's got those classic Crash levels full of crates, gems, and ridiculous platforming... but adds in new masks, playable characters, and crazy challenges. Be warned, this game is HARD, like old-school hard, which was frustrating at times but also super rewarding when you finally beat that one level. If you're up for a challenge and love Crash's goofy world, this one's a must-play.

A brutally hard platformer that borders on insanity for achievement hunters, Crash 4 is an excellent time for those that don’t mind high octane high difficulty platforming goodness.

CRASH IS BACK BAYBEEEEEEEEEE. Do not try to 100% it, takes the fun out of the game.

No, mi dispiace. Difficolta ingiustificata secondo me. Se ho l’occasione magari lo rigioco, ma per ora un no. Sicuramente molto meglio dopo la linea activision

Ele mantém a qualidade dos outros jogos da série enquanto traz outras mecânicas divertidas. Em geral, é uma boa continuação.

I wanted this to be great but it's just not. It's bloated and a frustrating gameplay experience at times.

I found myself dying a lot in ways that go beyond how bad I usually am in platformers. Hit boxes aren't always clear and judging the depth of gap is quite difficult from the back. The checkpoint markers are bizzarely placed in the later levels. Extremely tricky parts go on for ages without a checkpoint and then the easiest parts are bookended with them. It just added to my overall frustration.

It's a gorgeous game but it's not a particularly fun one.

holy hell what a jump from the trilogy to THIS! the gameplay is at it's best, the story is good, the graphics and artstyle are so damn beautiful to look at! the character animations are insanely good! the powerups are awesome and the soundtrack is amazing!! so many things to love about this game! the bossfights are really great here too! PLEASE go check it out! just don't 100% it :P

I don't care if the 100% sucks. The levels are amazing. One of the best 3D platformers in recent memory, and an absolutely visually stunning game.

Ok, realistically, this game is more of an 8/10 for casual players. The 1/10 experience comes from those trying to 106% this fucking monster, and even then it probably would have just been a 5/10 game. However, the game had an error and caused it to reset when trying to get into Shipping Error, and that ended up causing me to lose around 2/3's to 3/4's of my progress to 106% completion. Deleted this game straight off my PS5 for that stunt. I never want to see it again.

Prendere tutte le cose è impossibile

It has a solid foundation but ultimately ends up bloated and padded out, fine on a regular playthrough if not a little annoying with the trial-and-error difficulty but they absolutely ruined the 100% which is a huge part of what made the originals so good and rewarding to finish.

I love Crash Bandicoot games, but this was just far too hard for me!

This one's weird to rate and review. If you just breeze through it, only focusing on trying to reach the credits then it's really fun but the more you try to experience beyond that limited scope the more frustrating Crash 4 becomes. There's a great game in here, it can just be hard at times to focus on.

Probably one of the best platformers I've ever played, up there with Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario Odyssey. From the amount of content that this game provides, to the challenging levels, to the amazingly tight controls, to the incredible Looney Tunes inspired animation and the really catchy tunes on the OST; this new entry in the series elevates the Crash franchise to new heights.
Toys for Bob have proven themselves to be incredible artists.

If I was a kid, this would've been my furry awakening instead of PMD

I wished for so much more for this game. its too bloated and it goes in entirely the wrong direction for the series.

i love the dingodile segments and coco's presence in the story is really nice after historically being shafted a lot of the time. it was a decent enough playthrough.

It's a bit too bloated for its own good at points, but Crash 4 is the gold standard for reviving a dormant IP, taking the series to the modern age so gracefully that it's almost like it never left.
As for the grueling completion requirements, I honestly don't mind them, it's fun to slowly chip away at it, and it's incredibly rewarding getting all of the gems for each stage. That said, N. Verted levels did not need to exist, and are easily the worst part of the game, just being copy-pasted versions of the same levels, but mirrored and with a usually obnoxious filter effect placed over them. Everything else, though? A ton of fun, and easily the sharpest entry in the series.

O plot do final me fez rir pra crlh, ficou bom demais.

Buen revival de una saga que necesitaba volver

A nice attempt to bring Crash Bandicoot back for another adventure.
Unfortunately though, the game plays just like the older games, it's outdated and has some rough edges regarding the gameplay.

It's not bad by any means, infact it's quite enjoyable, and there are some additional new gameplay mechanics, but it does nothing new, and nothing about it is special.

The Quantum Masks are very creative, each one of them has its own unique ability, and they're very fun to use.

The multiple playable characters are all great, Tawna is by far the best character, she has the best levels, her moveset is very smooth and her tools are well implemented. Dingodile is fun aswell, being able to shoot things and fly feels good.

Most levels are alright, but some of them are just straight up frustrating, mechanics not working correctly, movement being clunky, weird hitboxes and just overall unfair.

The boss fights are... whatever, some of them are lame while others are artificially difficult, what a letdown.

And finally I just want to talk a little bit about the new art style, long story short, it's ugly, the animations are awkward, and most characters look off.

This one is a weird case, I like Crash Bandicoot, but the gameplay was cool many years ago, now it's just not on par with other modern platformers, it feels and plays the same after all these years.

Also, no split-screen couch co-op? No actual multiplayer? Really?
Well, that was disappointing.

Final Rating: "Decent" ~ 6/10.

divertido, mecânica das máscaras estranha mas legal

My favorite crash game, honestly his best look in my opinion, it just fits him so well. The game is super fun and the movement is clean.
