i will say this is one of those games that feels weird but who knows i will play and see about it and change my mind about it or hate it forever

It does its job of being a "DiRT meets Destruction Derby" spin off well enough, but besides some decent car-bashing thrills, it falls short. There's this cheap air to it, from its basic progression to anemic event offer.

Start of the end, stripping out anything remotely interesting about DiRT to make a ho-hum destruction derby game.

DiRT 3 definitely wins for most fun car control in the series, but I frankly enjoyed how ridiculous DiRT Showdown was as a spinoff, from soundtrack to visuals. It had some solid multiplayer elements too, including the Racenet Team Championship. Another solid racing game from Codemasters.
