Fun retro platformer with frogge
fun and challenging
Hard mode relies too much on insta death but aside from that the game is just pretty short and average. Don't get the hype with this one.

Even though I didn't think this was as good as Cave Story, I still really am glad that this exists and that I got to play it. At the end of the day it's just cute and enjoyable. Thanks Pixel.
Cracking wee game which was nice to get into after finishing Tears of the Kingdom. Great platforming run and gun fun, with some lovely 8 bit visuals and music. Just what I needed.
Cute frog. Much less impressive than Cave Story, but a fun lil thing.
A more traditional platformer made by the same guy who made Cave Story. It has so much heart and should be played by anyone who loves retro games. A true hidden gem.
Charming, challenging but not overly so, and an all-around delightful game! I bought a SNES controller with USB capabilities just to play this game, which really was the cherry on top!

Pixel proving once again that you can do something very good with simple concepts. It doesn't quite reach the masterpiece that is Cave Story. But it is still something of very high quality, I emphasize being something very simple but made with a lot of love and care.

From the creator of cave story comes a smaller yet no less fun adventure. Do I find this game as influential or deep as cave story? Not at all.
But is it a fun time? Absolutely, and it has a lot of replay value with the weapon upgrade system and multiple playthroughs.
The Story is simple but fun, and the music is on par with Cave Story in my personal opinion. It is hard to believe both these games were made by a single incredibly passionate man.
The game also includes a hard mode with its own story and a pretty hardcore finale on par with Running Hell from Cave Story if you were to ask me.
