It's alright but was definitely hard to care about.

Okay I actually like this one a little bit

I used to play this on GBC all the damn time, they just added it to Switch, so I'm reliving the memories.

Golf Story led me to believe it was a RPG with only occasional golf, when it was in fact a golf game that was only occasionally an RPG. This is a golf game with RPG elements, so right there I already like this game more for choosing not to piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Not to mention, this game has the Mario brothers, and everyone likes the Mario brothers! What was the extra thing golf story had? Disc golfers. No one likes disc golfers

cant believe i played an rpg golf game at 7 years of age

Never experienced so much mood swings in a video game in my life.

I love the story mode and the RPG elements
It could have more than 5 courses, but it's an GBC game

It's alright overall. I wish I could had this as an actual GBC cartridged (yes, I played it on NSO for the first time) to experience it as it actually deserved but it's still a cool game with exclusive stuff from the N64 counter-part: just like Tennis on GBC, it has its own RPG, thankfully way more direct than the other: no tedious long intros.

It does remind me of NES Open Tournament being on a less powerful console than the N64, and it makes perfect sense.

Mario Golf as a compelling RPG, with one of my top 10 favorite soundtracks of all time...this was a game I kept coming back to as a child, and I still find myself humming the songs today. It was my first exposure to the genius of Sakuraba, but thankfully not my last.

I got the game for virtual console cause my brother said that he liked it as a kid when he played it on the Game Boy Color. It is cool to play and I enjoy just picking it up and trying to play just casually.

I would only say that hitting the buttons never works for me and I am always 1 notch away from a perfect swing. Then I only play as Mario in free stroke mode cause it is more fun.
