I 100% of the game in about eight hours, and really had a lot of fun with it. The online was implemented very well, and I’m glad that people were playing it when it first came out. But already after five days, it seems like less people are playing it. I went online today to find only one person in each level that I played compared to when it came out when there was almost 10 people per level. I wish there was a better reward for 100% completing the game, but the reward is funny, so I’m not complaining. I can’t wait to see what type of runs people will come up with. The wonder seed has a lot to the game and is the best part. Solid entry to the Mario series.
The main story of the game was way too easy and disappointing, and at first I thought that this was all the game was going to be. I was then greeted by a whole new game after the main story was finished, full of more adventure and things to do. The final three areas were what the first three areas should have been. It was way more entertaining for someone like me who has played the other Pikmin games in the past and would be considered an advanced player.
Oatchi is a fun new addition and I enjoyed leveling him up, but he does seem overpowering throughout the game. You can ride on his back with all your Pikmin at all times to avoid fighting enemies. Then once you unlock all of his upgrades he can function with the exact power as one hundred Pikmin. He especially feels poweful in the final world when everything is poisonous and Oatchi can breeze through it all.
What would have made this game amazing was if it had more challenging enemies in the main story. Then also more direction, because I kept getting pushed back without ever seeing the end in sight. But good game and entertained me through July.

It is one of the weirder Pokémon spin-off games to ever come out, but that's not to say it isn't horrible. My favorite part was the fact the DS had a stylus so you could spin as fast as humanly possible and I always had fun doing it. This game could only work on the DS and could never come on the switch unless it got a stylus to come with the game. But in terms of gameplay and the game itself, it isn't that fun and I would much rather play Pokémon Rumble or just the regular Pokémon games.
