my first experience with pokemon

I enjoyed it as a kid but something felt missing compared to Explorers of Sky
Maybe it was the lack of a guild with its cozy atmosphere or the fact that the ending didn't really manage to move me as much as it should have

Literally put me to sleep in the middle of playing...would have a lower score if it wasn't for the heartfelt ending

Very underrated game and the story seems to me to be the second best of the pokemon mysterious world, also hydreigon is god as a character and the music is very good it is true that the pace of the game is tedious and the bosses are not very memorable but the ending seems to me the best of the saga and the message it also gives:
Characters:6
History:8
Rhythm: 4
Final grade:5

Quagsire is the realest character in all of fiction.

EXTREMELY overhated game. Every complaint about this game boils down to either "it's not explorers" or "gen 5 bad" and I will die on that hill (although I do agree in wishing that the roster of playable Pokémon was just a little bit bigger).

You never quite feel as immersed in this one as you do in it's predecessors. I blame that mostly on the character roster being shrunk down to five choices instead of nearly two dozen, it never feels like "you" unless you really like unova pokemon (or pikachu). But also the game is less about "you" and more about it's side characters, which you never truly get attached to.

The town gimmick is entirely unnecessary and never really benefits the player. The v wheel is obnoxious. The quests and resource management feels more obnoxious.

The music is good, but it still feels as though its always a little too cheery, and lacks the "mystery" that set the tone in certain dungeons in previous games.

extremely overhated, i do feel like it needed more content and it is kinda undercooked but holy shit i love this game's story and soundtrack. wish it was harder tho it's so easy to get through.

the text speed being slow is really annoying (although didnt matter that much to me on a first playthrough) however in replays i use a mod to have it actually be a reasonable speed.

Rips away basically everything good about its predecessor. The story feels like it was written exclusively for five-year-olds in a way that isn't at all charming and instead feels like it's talking down to you. The resource management aspect feels largely removed as well. I see no reason to like this game.

Final dungeon was full of dragon types, with only a grass mon, was worth it

Crazy how they took one of the most beloved games of all time, and made it lame and bad. Could not get past like 4-5 hours before i gave the game away i hated it so much.

Espeon & Umbreon dating is the cutest shit I've ever seen

made me cry, but I had such a good time, one of my favorites in the mystery dungeon games

This game is a legit masterpiece to me. The gameplay is fun, the story is amazing, it's emotional, and the characters are just amazing. I'm sorry if society can't see this game for the overhated under appreciated masterpiece that it is.
Also I think this goes without saying but this game is the reason why Emolga is my favorite Pokémon. He's the best character in the series to me.

Every cutscene is 10 minutes longer than it should be and written like a company HR training. A huge disappointment coming from Explorers, but better than the internet made it out to be. Still, I was ready for it to be over halfway through.

Its a fun time, albeit defo doesn't stand that highly.
Characters don't stick too much, and while gameplay's good, omisions such as the belly system is odd.
I do have bias for it as it is the first pokemon game I played, but hard to think that highly of it when it has some glaring issues.

Genuinely the best cast from one of these games. They do manage to be more than one note for most of it and the game doesn't repeat itself as much as explorers. Partner is also a complete and true bro tbh

Now the actual dungeon design and gameplay is a mess when you have guest party members constantly outlevelling any of your own. Even though most locations have two times less the floors of explorers and rescue team, it still feels the same length due to how so much of GTI is narrow corridors in dead ends.

Wasn't terrible, but it's a far cry from EoS :(

My first interaction with the mystery dungeon series which made me decide mystery dungeon really isn't my thing.

This is the weakest PMD game.

BUT, the soundtrack...holy shit the SOUNDTRACK

MASTERPIECE

If I had to describe this game in one word, it would be "exhausting".

this game made me cry all alone at after school care. only game ever to make me cry

meedi. story is ok but it's a test of patience getting through the slow ass gameplay and slow ass dialogue boxes
