Game feels like a fun "for the lulz" game but its really just nothing to write home about.

Played this one with friends and we had a ton of fun. Chaotic non-stop action, no grinding, no crafting, no bullshit, just fun. Can't wait for the DLC.

A game were you liberate countries, by brutal force and shooting. It's a more methodical approach to run and gun games. Not as mindless as those. Terrain can be destructed, characters have set lifes and a lot of RNG in between, so be careful.
Every character is unique, they can shoot from standart bullets to not shoot and all and punch they way through enemies.
Fun with friend/strangers alike.

o jogo é excelente e é melhor ainda pra quem viveu a época de metal slug e contra junto aos filmes dos anos 90 até 2000, o level design consiste ir geralmente pra direito, pra cima ou pra baixo, matando inimigos, desbloqueando novos personagens (que é a melhor parte do jogo) e avançando, alguns leveis tem referências a filmes, ou sessões inteiras fazendo referências como a sessão de alien, existem tb leveis especificos para personagens especificos, na qual você só joga com ele, mesmo em coop fica uma duplicata, e todo level design é adaptado para uso dos poderes do personagem, o jogo vai cada vez ficando mais dificil, então pode ir jogando sem obrigação de rushar, com uma companhia se puder, vale lembrar que não tem só referências a filmes classicos como 007, exterminador, conan, robocop, kill bill e por ai vai, como series como xena, e quadrinhos como blade e tank girl (não inclui conan aqui pq o visual puxa mais pros filmes do arnold, alguns atores tem mais de um personagem aqui por conta de seu papel importante na cena de filmes de ação da época, chuck norris, stallone e por ai vai, estou com preguiça de ficar mencionando, sobre a atualização/mini-expansão forever, eu tenho a analise dela separada aqui no backgloggd mesmo.

This was the first game I played getting back into video games, and I think it's perfect for that. Over the top and silly, the kinetic energy here is great. Of course the cameos are great, too.

Amazing and fun
I have replayed this game an ungodly amount of times and I just love it. its a nice little 2d platformer/shooter that has a fair variety of bosses (although they pin you up against giant wormulons multiple times throughout the game)

Ah yes. Liberation( American domination ). Not to be confused with liberation( the act of freeing ).
this game was annoying
remarkably frustrating, even for arcade-type games. The whole bro thing got uninteresting before I even played the game. Maybe this just isn't for me, because I don't think I understood a single reference to anything. Destructable environments were amazing though.

A fun simple action game that tries to mimic 90's style action games but fails to capture any of the charm. The gameplay is rather bland and the stage design is lifeless. Overrated in my opinion.

Broforce is a short game about killing those damn terrorists that just never want to leave the USA alone... The game pretty much plays as if Metal Slug had destructible environments but I might as well quote the devs with this:
"Like Metal Slug had a baby with Metroid, and then decided to fight for the USA."
This game was a personal favorite of mine when a was much younger back in 2014-5 when the alpha of the game was released till the last main update in 2018, and in honor of the final update called Broforce Forever which just released 5 days ago by the time of this review I decided to do a new fresh playthrough and to remember how good this damn game was.
And after a 100% playthrough of the game, I can definitely say that this is one of the most fun run & gun titles you can find out there, the game itself is only 3 hours and can be a mighty fun time in COOP.
I can only recommend this game as I don't have any issue with the game at all other than the final update which I'll talk about right after, even if this game is extremely short it has great replay value and it's just damn good!
Now about the last update, the new bros are a really cool addition as always but my issue is the new desert stages they added, they are terribly bad, they work like the extra stage that was added in the release 2018 update that gave us new powerup for completing gimmicky yet bad stages and those pretty much were my only complaints about the game even though they were optional that didn't make them good. The new stages are pretty much that but even worse and indiana jones based since the fifth movie was released a few weeks prior to the update, all they do is give us even more useless power-ups and I'm a bit scared if they consider doing a sequel since I don't want any of these terrible stages in. So yeah it was a pretty disappointing final update as it's kinda lacking in content and the real new content outside of the new playable character sucks.
