"Go on, Soap, show 'em how it's done. Shoot the target, Soap. You can do that, right? Show them how to shoot a gun, Soap. Soap?"

In love with 4K Ghost getting shot 🥰

They did insert some cool details in the campaign.. no multiplayer tho

Experiencing this exceptional campaign once again in current-gen quality was all I needed at the time during this pandemic.

The gameplay and set pieces are what makes this game shine and there are multiple uncharted like moments. The gunplay is as good as its always been. The graphics for the remaster are great.

The games biggest problem is just the story. The story here is actually good, its just the problem is that its told in mission briefings instead of cutscenes a lot of the time, so it makes it hard to follow. And it had one of the tragically saddest moments for me with Ghost & Roach and the satisfaction to beat Shepherd once again.

added great details in the campaign that make replaying the original feel underwhelming

Still easily one of the best fps Campaigns to date. Hope one day we'll get the classic multiplayer remastered as well

I was never really a COD kid. I owned and played a lot of them but I was not as crazy into them as a lot of my friends at the time were. I was always the worst in my friend group too and it always discouraged me from playing cuz I knew i was going to get shit on.

This meant that I never played a SINGLE campaing. wait I played a little bit of BO3 and beat the AW one. (yea ik). so when this was remastered, i copped it to see what the fuss is about.

Its like playing through an entire mission impossible movie in the best way. it is short and to the point. some of the missions were focused on just making you feel like a badass.

Im apolotical but this shit almost made me a patriotic america loving son of a gun yeyeeeeeee

The campaign is really good but controversially I actually think its the worst one of the original 3 modern warfare. Of course it has iconic missions like the burger town one and of course no russian. The characters are great to and shepards betrayal will never not hurt. Good gun variety and each mission is entertaining.

Pretty much peak Call of Duty even all these years later. Completely stands the test of time and has aged extremely well, looking better than ever than a much deserved fresh coat of paint in a peak remaster. Gameplay is exhilerating and intense, even moreso on Hardened difficulty which offers for a very unique and realistic simulation on a grand scale with some insane set pieces, Wolverines!, Exodus and Whiskey Hotel probably being some of the best in the Call of Duty franchise, if not, the best up there with Pripyat and a handful from MW3.

It's a shame the remasters ended with this, it's like that meme with the dude digging in the mines but before finding the diamonds, he turns around and walks off. Why would they exclude the best game in the trilogy???

Still play it even though I've beaten more times than I've breathed

Missions were alright but did not catch my interest

Despite growing up with Counter-Strike Source, I’m not someone who plays online FPS games but do like dipping into their single player from time to time. I have no interest in being griefed by a 12 year old who may or may not be hacking. I played the first Modern Warfare Remaster a few years back and really enjoyed my experience. Each mission was varied, ranging from typical FPS shooting, sniper missions, airship gunner missions and stealth missions. Typically you would think that the second game in a series would take everything the first did well and improve on it but sadly I didn’t see that being the case here. Yes you got your sniper and sneaking missions but it mostly boiled down to you being surrounded by the enemy and all out shooting.

Most FPS games you play a lone soldier, meaning that anyone else you see on screen is more than likely the enemy and should be riddled with bullets. With Modern Warfare 2 you are typically on the field with a team. When it comes to frantically running around like you’re at laser quest, it’s hard to tell the difference between friend or foe. Either you shoot on sight and lose the mission for killing teammates or you wait to verify if the person in your crosshair is in fact the enemy but by this time you’re being filled with bullets and you’re on the ground with the game touting a quote from some leader. Placing your crosshair over a friendly takes far too long for their name to come up, hurting the pace of the game. I had to play the game on the easiest difficulty due to missions like the one early on where you’re in the streets of Brazil being overwhelmed by enemies.

Unlike the first Modern Warfare I didn’t really have fun with this game, just just seemed all too samey and nothing particularly exciting went on. In gun based, military games it’s good to feel overly powerful at some point. For example in the first MW when you controlled the guns in an aircraft you had unlimited bullets to blow people sky high. In this game the most powerful you may feel is single shooting enemies with a gun.

I tried to follow along with the story but had absolutely no idea what was going on, each mission felt random and disconnected from each other to feel like you were following a story. The fact you’re seeing an enemy army invade the west while playing that feels very grim and a possible reality which makes it feel quite daunting to play. I also opted to play the controversial level which the game does give the player many warnings and the option to skip it if possible. I played it to see/experience it and it was not a nice experience at all.

I look forward to playing the more up to date modern warfare games just when they are at a reasonable price on the Battle.net store, not £60.

La campagne est trop courte mais bordel c'est beaucoup trop intense et tellement varié.

not including multiplayer for the COD with some of the best multiplayer. good job!

Just another MW2; thank god its better than the 2022 one

4 stars because i want to fuck ghost.

never played cod before this and the game was p fun but rly short. thank fuck i pirated it

Still an intense and Adrenaline pumped campaign 14 years later.

Oh wow this is way more fun that I remembered it being.

It's a big dumb fun military shooter that never takes itself too seriously like its predecessor does. The fast paced globe-trotting nature of the game made it so I never felt bored.

The remaster aspect is also done incredibly well. They improved the graphics so much that it looks like a modern game. So yeah. I had a real fun time with this one.

Updated graphics made this classic look fresh and amazing.

MAIOR PEDRADA DE TODOS OS TEMPOS MINHA NOSSA SENHORA
eu pensei.
eu pensei que era impossível superar o primeiro jogo, e felizmente eu estava MUITO enganado

It's a fantastic campaign and playing it on Veteran felt great but it can be an absolute nightmare to go through some missions, espcially the Brazil ones.
