The original Persona 4 is very cozy. An intriguing mystery has befallen a sleepy town...

The original PS2 version of this game is so fucking hard for no reason and I gave up and bought golden at the 4th dungeon.

Just an impostor living in a world of crewmate.

i bought a ps2 to play this and a few days after starting it the game was put onto steam i had never been more upset but the game was amazing, if youre gonna play it play the modern port of golden but this version still held up even on a pre owned ps2

OHHHHHH THIS IS SO BAD JUNIOR
WHERE'S THE WEAPON COMPLEXITY
WHY ISN'T JUNPEI HERE TO KICK ME IN THE BALLS
OHHHHH JUNIOR THIS IS SO HOMOPHOBIC TRANSPHOBIC FATPHOBIC ETC.
OHHH WHY ISN'T THERE A SCENE WHERE A FEMALE COMPANION IS SCREAMING ABOUT HER DEAD DAD OR SOMETHING, THUS CONNECTING THE CHARACTER TO THE PLOT LIKE AN ANVIL TO MY NUTS
OHHHHH THE DUNGEONS HAVE GIMMICKS? I'M GONNA WALK OFF A PIER
MAN THIS IS ALMOST AS BAD AS ADVANCE WARS 🔥🔥🔥

Playing this right out of high school was a total game changer for me and I called it one of the greatest things I ever played.

Now uh...wow this game's pretty not 'it' my dudes. Good soundtrack, VA work, battle systems, and genuinely good story moments just can't over look just some horrendous characterization and plot beats that take too long or are just so blatantly keeping the status quo at any given point.

A frustrating revisit that soured me on JRPG for years.

tipo de jogo que gostaria de jogar numa tv tubão num friozinho massa

I had the fortune of playing this before the killer's identity became common knowledge/a meme. Believe it or not i was sad about the revelation, i didn't see it coming.

Maybe it was always obvious but i played this as a dumb 14-year old with some basic, mostly self taught english.

Kanji's link helped me speedrun through the typical "i'm a big boi now i can't like kid stuff anymore/i can't like girl stuff" phase. I'm forever thankful to this game for letting me skip that shit and let me enjoy myself with whatever the fuck i really liked.

This game made me deeply afraid of televisions and monitors as a kid

So far i really like it, im super early in though

I want to squash Teddie with a gigantic hammer

Few games can call themselves comfier than this one

If you’re deciding between this game and it’s successor, get this one if you want a more jrpg jrpg and get persona 5 if you wanna have more fun

o vilao é tipo, vivemos em uma sociedade, entao os moradores dessa sociedade falaram "pau no seu cu" e procedem a espancar ele

Love this game, super fun concept, great atmosphere and gameplay. Would recommend.

i will be forever thankful for the impact this game had on my life and all the friends i met thanks to it but holy shit, everytime i think on it i remember some new horrible thing about it. literally every group event in it is a nightmare! be it yosuke being gross, or morooka being gross, or just some other fucking miserable thing happening. the game also constantly walks back on its own themes. actually it's not the society that is wrong! once you accept your failings, you will realize that everything is fine and you should stop acting up actually! like literally every character is like "yk i shouldn't have been different and i will do what my parents want or w/e" like what. also. the nurse link . precursor of takemis and kawakamis of the world. horrible

but the good tidbits are still there beyond the oceans of trash... but i don't think they are worth it nowadays. still, yosuke's social link did something gay to my psyche back in the days. and generally, being a kid from a small town, i could relate to a story about kids from small town. the murder mystery is... fine. idk. i just outgrew this series severely

the dungeon variety is pretty great, though the floors remain repetitive. vocal OSTs are good, but at some point you will get sick of them, particularly Heaven and the track that plays in rise's dungeon lmao. that being said, to this day i am not sick of your affection, heartbeat heartbeat and signs of love, as well as backside of the tv, so who knows... shoji meguro really popped off with the osts for this one

Maybe the appeal of teenage life in high-school would've been stronger had I not played this as a teenager in high school.

great videogame the writing fails at getting the point across well sometimes but it still manages to tell its story well enough and the gameplay + soundtrack are just stellar

Eu amo persona, não adianta, acho que é o jogo mais minha cara que existe no mundo

Persona 4 feels overall a bit darker than P4G but the story being as dark as it is feels a bit more home here compared to P4G

for me this game have a balance compared to 3 game. persona 4 don't have a such a annoying grind compared to p3 tartarus, idk what about a persona 5 i don't play it yet
