So much better than Rock Band 1, and definitely the best out of all the Rock Bands and Guitar Heros. The song list is insane.

Ah.. o Rock Band 2..

Basically Rock Band but better. The career mode’s more involved (especially for single player) and the setlist is one of the best in the genre with almost no duds. The engine with its silly strum limit is the only thing holding this back.

The story mode on this one and character creation was perfect. Wonderful setlist too

This was the pinnacle of plastic instrument games.

Absolutely phenomenal, no notes. I got a guitar controller for my Wii U and this game is still as good as I remember.

Dont remember much about this game, just know i played it.

Aesthetically more pleasing than guitar hero, but functionally the same game.

Game seems kind of cool but you need a microphone even if you don't want to be a vocalist so I'm completely blocked out of using it right now. I know what RockBand plays like so I'm sure its just more of the same.

Significantly better than the first with an incredible set list. I still wish I could go back sometimes.

Ive played all of the official Guitar Hero and Rock Band games quite a lot, and this is their magnum opus.

taught me rudimentary drums and super fun. I drank so much cherry pepsi (those who know get it)

TENACIOUS D MENTIONED 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This game made family game nights amazing.

Born too late to explore Earth.

Born too early to explore the stars.

Born just in time to play Rock Band 2 throughout the entirety of high school.

Definitely now one of my favorite music games of all time. Incredible setlist, so much customization, A ton of content to get through, and so much potential for 4 player endless fun.

It also made me discover what REAL music is.

i grew up with this game but i can't get the accessories working, but this is how i grew up listening to a lot of classic songs

A perfect sequel in every way. Bigger setlist, harder songs, more gameplay options, better character customization, an incredible career mode with more replayability than ever before, and ALL OF YOUR DLC SONGS FROM THE FIRST GAME CARRIED OVER. You could even import most of Rock Band 1's on-disc songs into Rock Band 2 for a modest $5 fee. An absolute triumph from the music game golden age, and one of the best games of the seventh console generation.

THE GOAT, THE GOAT! The best Rock Band game. Killer setlist, Amazing visuals and graphics. Great for all players, experienced or not. Harmonix took everything bad from the first game, and made that great in Rock Band 2. Goated game

Peak peak peak peak peak. RB3 definitely is more of an evolution and has much more options than 2 but at the same time I think 2 feels like a more cohesive package, plus has a better on disc song list and I like the grungier aesthetic compared to 3. So many good memories playing this game as a kid and screaming That's What You Get into the mic in a suburban finished basement.

Years of Guitar Hero already got a ton of dad rock education through my skull, but learning about Steely Dan via Boddhisatva may be one of the biggest disproportionately-monumental butterfly effect moments in my life that wildly changed my appreciation for music.

By the way, the other 83 songs also make this the best GH/RB setlist. Even Cool For Cats feels right in here? Why?

When I was 16 my friend Doug and I were overseas for a school volleyball tournament and this family housed us for the week. They had an attic with a tv and this game (with a mic, guitar and drum set). We played this on full volume till 6am every single night and somehow managed to win the volleyball tournament also. HUGE apologies to that family who never dared to speak up once about how annoying we must've been lmao.

this game has the 2nd best setlist out of any rock band or guitar hero game thats only really beaten by guitar hero 3 being perfect in almost every way

best setlist, and the instruments got major upgrades from 1.

this game was magic that simply can't be replicated
