i think any time i want to play this game i always wanna have a friend to play it with and generally the response is just always like "ok but we have real smash" and like there's kinda a point to that because i just like the official titles more but also i cant help but appreciate a pretty decent smash fangame that has anime characters and other cool stuff in it

Somehow, a better made and more interesting competitive fighting game than any of the official entries (Melee is a very deep game but it has some competitive shortcomings that make it not my thing). My time with SSF2 is pretty limited but what I’ve seen shows the devs know how to design and balance characters in much more interesting ways than most platform fighters. Extra points for making Pit good.

More functional online system than the actual series it's based on.

Way better than the first Smash Flash! Thought honestly like Smash Flash it was just for a fun distraction during down time. I would never play this on my own time. No harm done though
