An immaculate experience in nearly every way. The cast are immediately likeable and charming from minute one and you only grow to care for them more the further you play, the world is gorgeous with its lore and pre-rendered backgrounds, the music while not a perfect soundtrack IS perfect for every environment it plays in, and the story is very deceptive in the best ways possible with the themes it tackles that you wouldn't expect from just looking at it. Biggest sour point would be the combat but that's solely due the slowness of battles rather then the fun Final Fantasy combat and customization you've come to know and love. Certain versions of the game give a speed-up function which is an absolute life saver for replays, so I recommend picking a newer version up, despite a few questionable decisions like the font of the text. It's a game that has made me, among many others, tear up at several points which is a sign for how powerful its story is. A must play for any RPG lover.
