Great game. I loved how the story and gameplay were both playing into the game's themes which culminated into a great (and difficult) platformer.

Mental Illness = Play Celeste and enjoy it (me)

It's a good game.

This game alongside Symphony of the night invented the metroidvania genre and I understand why; massive world, unlockable upgrades for progression, boss fights, and so many secrets. For the most part however I was annoyed with the controls and handling.

Clunky ahh game. The controls at time were so annoying to fight (especially in parts of Maridia), where I would just give up and come back to the game later.

Considering Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games ever I'm glad I played this, but man is this dated.

Goofy ah short ass game.

So much worse than 2 in every possible way.

After attaining the platinum trophy for the first game I was eager to give the sequel a try. This is a masterful sequel doing the first game justice, building upon its systems, refining them, and adding many new additions.

The biggest thing I can praise about this game is the improved combat from its predecessor.

It was my biggest gripe with the first game, with it being a little too simple. Alongside giving the player three weapons now, the thing I love is how the weapons are tools for the level traversal. The order in which weapons are acquired are also up to the player, which means there is replayability in the order areas are tackled.

There are more bosses and in my opinion for the most part are better than the first game. While they weren't too difficult I appreciated the mechanics each fight presented, bringing a new set of obstacles the player must overcome.

I loved this game. Anyone who is a fan of the genre should definitely pick this game up.
