A lovely follow-up to the first Kirby's Dreamland, this one brings out plenty of new features that make it quite a big improvement. This time Kirby has the capability of getting both abilities from enemies, as well as animals that have their own abilities. And better yet, these actually affect each-other if you have both types and make a combo ability.

The design of individual levels is pretty interesting and stay pretty consistently refreshing, every now and then you might have a bit of a boring room where you don't really do much or have a bit too many enemies that taking damage might be hard to avoid. The bosses are also pretty enjoyable and generally stay somewhat easy outside of the final fights, and if you re-enter their arena you can actually play a minigame that adds a bit more completion.

This game also has a True End that is a bit of a hassle to get. New to Dreamland 2 are these secrets that are in each world and they really require you to mess around with ability combos in order to reach them, I probably would have had zero chance if I did not use a guide to figure out what to do. The true final boss you unlock for them is certainly interesting, though I found it a bit frustrating due to the last phase feeling like it was a bit luck-based when you could damage it.

Overall, this is a great improvement from the first that feels more like a full game than an experimental piece. Looking forward to more Kirby!
