It's a delight to play such a gorgeous game as this one. The bits of detail in almost every nook & cranny are so satisfying to observe during all the gameplay, specially if you like the art style and theme.

It gets some points of japanese culture, legends and shintoism myths quite well, but not a 1 to 1 representation, which gives the feeling of a rewriting of said myths to match with a 30-hour game plot. Really good characters and story progression.

I don't need to talk about soundtrack. If you like old japanese instruments such as taiko, shamisen and koto, you will absolutely love it, without a doubt.

Overall, one of the best aesthetics I experienced in a game. It being from 2006 and still being this good has its value. So if you heard somewhere that this game is THE GOAT, go for it. It's true, all the stories are true.

Base game is quite unfair but playable, but vanilla, before SOTFS is considerably a better experience, just without the DLC included.

The DLC are all at least OK, but Old Iron King is really damn good and the bosses are the the best in the DLCs, Ivory King comes next with Burnt Ivory King having a blast of a fight. Sunken King is not bad but it doesn't stand side by side with the other two. The map is really good though. Overall a good game with shitty mechanics that make it worse than the other two games of the franchise, but it is a Dark Souls title, through and through.

A funny game if you want to sink some ships and see some famous pirates as you wander about the seas.

But it is an Assassin's Creed experience and an Ubisoft experience nonetheless. Lot's of bugs, not that it's unplayable, but it IS an 11 year game, things should be different, I guess. The story is the same AC BS as always, so expect some "first human" lore.

All in all, a fun game with a lot that needs improvement.

Adds a lot to the game. The "new" Area really gives that dystopian feel and, for me at least, the story worked fine, with good (2) characters. Hansen's not even something.

Sadly though, they clearly took inspiration on the Edgerunners story, mainly Lucy (as So Mi), so, those who watched it and liked it, myself included, felt more. Not to say the story is weak, but could be more than it actually is.

New missions are ok, not too lame but not all too special as well. They could've added more like, let's say, 5 to 10 side missions. I felt like rushing through the DLC, considering i've already done a whole lot of the main game, 85 hours. DLC gave me solid, let's say, 14 hours of things to do before getting bored and ending it all.

Dogtown had more potential to be explored, it's a good concept, but it lacks, in my opinion. I think that maybe if you play it BEFORE doing almost everything in the main game, it gets better.

Overall, it's an nice DLC.
