• thankfully the only game they did with this character animation.
• kinda boring?
• honestly shocked that this game even ran on my computer at all.

• pretty disappointed they never remastered this one, especially since i had to pull out an old microsoft computer just to play it.

the atmosphere is great even though the haunting noises can be a shock to the eardrums. overall a great pick if you wanna play a nostalgic game in a limited amount of time.

nothing super remarkable about this one, and some things get tedious such as constantly getting lost in the castle and having to punch in a code over and over again just to visit the library. villain didn't really make sense in my opinion but this is only the fourth game in the series so far.

this is where it starts getting good. the atmosphere is incredible and i absolutely love how much detail they put into the history of the theater and its owner.

i get what they were going for but this one just feels so unnecessarily long. also ninety percent of the puzzles are based off information you have to find in game so after awhile it got kind of old.

this game could be so good if it weren't for the fact that you have to constantly change from day to night just to talk to one person. also the forest made my head hurt.

nancy "my mother died too" drew.

i'm sorry but this one is just so boring.

SUCH A NOSTALGIC GAME. everything, from the history of the ranch and those who once inhabited it, to the music, to the crisp atmosphere of it all... this is top tier nancy drew, and begins a short string of equally as good games.

this is definitely the weakest out of the string of good games i mentioned in my last review, but i still love it for the nostalgia and atmosphere alone. i'm not a huge fan of the puzzles however, and the characters are sort of boring.

• take a shot every time emily says the word "guardian".
• i'd like to think nancy just hit her head and ended up dreaming this mystery, culminating in a wizard of oz type ending when she finally woke up.
• "and you were there, and you, and you... and you too!"

what else is there to say other than that i adore this game and that it shows the company at some of their finest.

• such wasted potential.
• the overall ambience is wonderful, but it's overshadowed by semi-boring characters and a confusing story.
• feels like two unfinished games slapped together.
• by the time you reach the end of the game and come face to face with the big bad, you realize you've long since forgotten the original mystery of the game.

• the hardy boys redesign is a travesty.
• so many explanations are easily missed if you aren't thorough enough? which really hurts the overall game.
• i really hate how far apart everyone is spread.
• the first game where you get to navigate the world as someone other than nancy, and also the last game before the company switches to a more modern looking interface.
