I love the cast of characters, the story was great- but this was easily the weakest game of the three main games. Coming back to this game after Mask of Truth, the combat feels similar but somehow so much worse, it's missing a lot of effects that made the other be so good. Understandable, but hard to come back to for this.

The UI between events is pretty bad too, but I get it, this is even older than Prelude to the Fallen (the remake).

Story is pretty good though, that's what it has going for it. The problem is... it feels both long and short at the same time, long as in I feel there's a little too much fluff in some of the events, like I was losing patience with some of them because they just kept going on and on with nothing significant happening. And short because, it is also the shortest of all the games. The ending caught me off guard because I couldn't believe that was it. Thankfully the next game makes up for all the shortcomings in this one

In conclusion, still a fantastic game story-wise and everything else it has going for it, but personally I don't think it holds up that well on its own merits when compared to the other two. I have mixed feelings but they're more positive than anything because Haku

Just realized the games have post-game now. The Dream Arena for this game was so fun, this game just keeps giving. Loved it too much

Fun for a bit every now and then, but most of the tracks are pretty boring in design.

A few new tracks are trying new designs so it's showing promise, but the majority of the tracks are still pretty unexciting.

I don't think it holds up to previous games, sadly. Especially the one released like a decade+ ago that never got out of beta in the west (I think it was called just KartRider)

Underrated, So much better than the first Cold Steel.

CW//The upcoming audiolog contains depictions of psychological manipulation and medical malpractice

It's hard to call it a sequel to MapleStory, but it was very good in its own way. If this game came out when I was a kid I would have spent so much time on this. There was so much creative freedom and I loved that a lot. Too bad it's dead

Mid and forgettable sadly. Has its good moments, but then I think of how good it could have been without the dumb creative restrictions they were given and it annoys me instead. Combat is NOT fun either. Gets tedious really quick

This has everything I'd want from a visual novel. Gameplay elements which have been refined from previous games, great storyline, lovable characters, a GREAT protagonist, and a satisfactory ending.

English localization sucks.
My last review was removed for no good reason so here it is again

Pretty awesome. Very text heavy visual novel which I tend to steer clear from - but once the story hooks you, it really hooks you. Fun gameplay too but too easy

Same game but again

It's just OK, definitely enjoyed 4 more. And the Switch version is pretty much a scam at this point with the PC version existing. It runs horribly.

Prologue to the best JRPG ever made

The amount of content this game has for a casual player is incredible. Both Melee and Brawl are such fantastic games for casuals with all the unlockables and secrets.

What this game had over Brawl was the fact that everything was a surprise (and a pleasant surprise at that) because of the internet still being in its infancy so spoiling yourself wasn't easy.

A shame some characters are completely awful to play with broken moves, like Bowser and Kirby

I just can't stop playing this game man. Some of the balance in this game is stupid as hell especially online but getting over that challenge is very satisfying
