One of my favorites games of all time, the whole Trails in the Sky trilogy up to the Crossbell duology are genuinely my favorite JRPGs of all time. While not necessary, the experience is even better with the japanese voices mod.

Estelle is Bestelle.

Great game when you start, then it goes downhill very, very fast, then it becomes just MID.

It's a gacha game with actual gameplay (rare) and a big interconnected open world, which is why it's praised so much. But it's really not that good beyond that. I love some of the character designs and their writing but their gameplay is limited to basic attacks and 2 skills, sometimes 3 if you count the HOLD skill which leaves a lot to be desired. It has a decently deep story going on, but with awful storytelling. Would be much better if there were more animated cutscenes and less talking with random NPCs no one cares about, they genuinely make watching paint dry seem more enjoyable.

English localization sucks.
My last review was removed for no good reason so here it is again

Lame censorship, it gets worse on soystation consoles by removing any reference to alcohol and cigarettes from an M rated game. Better get the original if you can

Same game but again

One of the most fun games I managed to play on the GameCube. Almost everything about it was perfection

Vankino is very quick-paced and fun (also on the short side), the over the top cutscenes are worth it alone, but the gameplay is the biggest highlight

Prologue to the best JRPG ever made

Worse than Sonic 2006 I don't care what anyone says

Best game that nobody ever wants to play with me, I'm just too good. I'm not kidding I wish I was.

Also mods make this game EVEN better than 5 stars

An almost perfect masterpiece of its time. Until you discover how easy it is to cheese the whole game.

I loved this. But I do think without the Gameboy adapter it is mediocre at best. Rental pokemon just isn't the same.

There were a few things that could have been better, like a few missing cutscenes that make it seem like you teleported onto a map. But other than that, almost as great as the first game.

I gave it a chance but it was incredibly boring. Really good graphics though! 👍

Exhilarating gameplay, masterful controls, and ground-breaking level design. Thank you Jim's Adventure for reigniting my love for video games.
