Pom Gets Wi-Fi is a product of it’s time that has aged HORRIBLY with the cringy references. It’s still a very cute game though. I wanted a Pomeranian because I loved Pom so much.

The discussion of Pom being annoying but also written to be unlikable is a very conflicting issue. Infamous cases like Alex YIIK are prime examples of giving too much screentime to the protagonist being an awful person. Most people don’t like watching the protagonist in a story that you’re supposed to root for. Waiting for a character to get better can pay off sometimes… just not in this game.

Everything else is aesthetic eye candy. The sprite art is adorable and the story is simple enough to follow along. There’s some angst every now and then but for the most part it’s a pretty tame story.

Honestly liked Pom more by seeing her as a walking reference talker, rather than a selfish dog who’s addicted to Tumblr. That Garry reference made me scream 5 years ago.

Never has there been a more accurate encapsulation of early 2010s Tumblr humor in a videogame. It hasn't aged the best, but it's still somewhat entertaining. It's free, it's short, give it a shot.

thinking about backyardigans super spy

my brother saw me playing this and said "oh you're a D-Gamer now?"

A short but interesting experiment, where the ultimate outcome of the game was out of the player's hands. I think for anything of a larger scope than this game was, that might seem unfair, but Steam reports I cleared this in 8 minutes - perfectly fair length for something like this. The experiment was of course not immune to pranks or trolls, which is probably why it's down now, but it was kind of neat to be a part of it for a brief moment.

There isn't much more to it than that, and I'll admit that I didn't really feel what I'm seeing other people felt from this. But it's fun to think about from time to time.

Pretty decent game, the presentation is good, they definitely tried to capture the show and the music is straight from it, the OG VAs are also present and it's got some good writing, there's fun lil' things like Easter Eggs that give you cheats and costumes for Ed as well as finding Jawbreakers with quotes from the show! It's mostly the gameplay that holds it back as there's some segments that are really bad like the first encounter with the Kanker Sisters where you have to aim with the left analog and it's inverted and you legit have to be perfect or it's a game over.

There's definitely fun to have with this one, especially as a fan of the show but yeah, but kinda an alright game tbh.

This was always one of those games I wanted to play back in the days, but never got around to. Now that I'm moving into a new house and have no internet for another day I decided to finally give this game a go, and after finishing it I'm incredibly mixed on it. First off there's definitely effort put into this game from developer A2M, from the custom developer logo where the Ed's are fucking around with it to the game trying to make this the most authentic Ed Edd n Eddy experience in videogame by having the whole game fully voiced by all of the original cartoons cast as well as using custom title cards for the games loading screens when you're in a specific level, to the intro and ending to each level having limited anikated cutscenes that recreate the shows art style really well, to using the exact soundtrack and sound effects that the show also used, there's clearly a big love for this game and it's source material. Some of the unlockables show this love such as being able to unlock the ability to watch the ever so popular "My Best Friend Plank" music video (this game was only a couple of months after the launch of youtube and was a great surprise for people asnit was not easily available to watch outside of tuning into CN and hoping they play it that day on the channel.) and also some just for fun rewards such as a Big or Small Head Mode. Each Ed having a variety of different abilities also sets up the game to have a great variety of puzzles and options to approach things. Level 5 in particular is incredibly fun as you're tasked with making your way through a Haunted House to collect certain items in a scavenger hunt like fashion. Unfortunately the gameplay in general is a bit too repetitive in most levels and is relatively straightforward despite the Haunted House level, you'll be mostly switching between 2 or 3 specific abilities in each level which can just become tedious. It also doesn't help that the physics are a little too slippery, resulting in constant falling off of ledges and platforms when you didnt mean too. The last level of the game is also a big letdown. It recycles a lot of gameplay ideas you've already do e in the previous levels as well as having an incredibly annoying final boss that's a pain in the ass to play. It's also incredibly short at only 6 levels that'll take you about 2-4 hours to beat. Overall, this game has a fantastic presentation that's Unfortunately hampered by its irritating gameplay. It's definitely disappointing for me in terms of licensed games, but it's far from the worst I've played. Despite being disappointed it's probably still on the good side of LG than bad, and I'd definitely recommend it for fans of the show. It's a quick playthrough and it is fun to experience the stories of the game, almost like finding new long lost episodes of the show.

There's a basketball mini game

wanted to be skylanders so bad

Amateurish and boring, and that's putting it nicely. I have to assume that this was cranked out for some impossible deadline because if it wasn't everyone involved should face jailtime. Even conceptually, it's like, oh hey South Park is a big deal, what kind of game should we make ... and the answer is an FPS??? On the TUROK 2 engine? What the fuck?!

The more I'm thinking about this the madder I'm getting. So I'm gonna stop now. It sucks ass! Don't ever play it.

knocking 1 star for the poor edging on woody

The classic Spyro game I grew up with.
Anyone remember those Cynder vs Ember shipping videos with the high energy music?

Literally Ghostbusters 3. So much so that dan Aykroyd considers it canon. It's a shame that this is the last Ghostbusters project with Harold Ramis. The online mode is fun.
