MSX2 Smorgasbord
A selection of games for the second generation of ASCII and Microsoft Japan's MSX standard home computer architecture. You can find most MSX2 games on MSXAbandonware for use with the emulator of your choice. I strongly recommend openMSX or a MiSTer FPGA if you have one.

The MSX2 series is effectively better in every way with full backwards compatibility. With better video and audio chips and more RAM, some early MSX games were re-released as MSX2 upgrades version to take advantage of the better hardware. The MSX2+ and MSX Turbo R standards took this even further, but the MSX was declining in the market by this time anyways so they only found moderate success in Japan and Brazil.
Some MSX2 titles are available on other home computers or consoles of the era.
Not on IGDB:
Dragon Slayer IV: Drasle Family
Dragon Slayer VI: The Lends of Heroes
Hai no Majutushi
Pennant Race 1/2
Rastan Saga
Super Cooks
