It’s almost a case where you had to be there to see the hype around the city. Not only did this game add so little to Wild World, it honestly ruined the writing and didn’t even have stuff like villager photos.

It sucks. It just sucks. I played this very briefly as a kid and really wanted it back then, then it has its grand reputation… It sucks. The only way I could have enjoyed it would have been if I had it as a kid.

It’s actually pretty solid! It just should have been more. Super faithful but they didn’t understand some things that made the originals great, so it’s a lot more muddled. I do like this, but the development shortcomings show, unfortunately.

I never expected a sequel. Then it actually dropped and it was some of the hottest garbage I’d ever seen in my life. I swear this game never stops giving in how much I can dislike it. Ruined the series’ discourse as well.
