I'm afraid of saying how much this game scratches every part of my brain in public because game(r) discourse has become purely about how much you can tear a game down for not liking it because someone you don't like likes it. I do have alot of issues with it but it's genuinely everything I could personally ask from a video game.
This is just more cuphead and cuphead was already good so more cuphead is good
Any year with a mainline monster hunter anything is gonna be on the GOTY list
In all seriousness I didn't mind half of the dialogue but the other half is stuff that just boils down to "wow guys look we said Mr. White like the guy from breaking bad" and that's it that's just the entire joke. Not to mention the actual plot reeks of Suda51 writing but without any of the thematic elements he puts into even his most half-witted titles
I get that some people see the story and think it's like profound in a sense or emotional but honestly the story is memorable to me because it started becoming so hilarious that I was invested in the next r worded thing Jack would say. In that sense Strangers of paradise has a great story.
