Amazing game with a very addictive gameplay loop. It does feel much like a tech demo for what's to come. A 10/10 would need these things, however:

-Add in voice acting
-Add more older Pokemon
-Bring back missing moves
-Bring back trainer battes
-Bring back online battling
-Bring back EXP Share On/Off Toggle
-Fix the pop in and tidy up jagged models
-Combine the large areas into one big open world; add towns with Gym leaders that can be battled in any order

Been playing RE4 VR lately. Here's some notes:

-Movement is ridiculously fast and versatile. Leon runs at least 50% faster than his original run speed, and you can be slicing an enemy on the ground with one hand while aiming your gun at another enemy walking toward you due to the whole "two hands" thing. I think a "run speed" option to tone it down should be added in.

-Turning off the red dot sight instantly made the game more fun.

-The "ballistics" line being cut is just as awful and jarring as people say. Ashley looks like a complete jerk.

-I've noticed a few nerfs/buffs, including being able to hit Ashley with your knife once or twice before she dies. Also, the bookshelves you push in front of the windows during the cabin sequence are about 300% stronger and last FOREVER.

-If you've beaten RE4 a shit ton, the beginning won't have THAT much of an impact on you until around the cabin sequence. Now I'm starting to get a little scared.

-Left handed options are good but you can't remap the Action button to the right hand. This results in constantly sliding your hand up and down the controller to kick, jump over, catch, etc.

-I feel like grenades are kinda...broken? I've never successfully grabbed a grenade properly when I needed it most. May be the left handed option though.

-The QTE camera definitely brings you out of the immersion too. The cutscenes probably should have been in first person as well. A lot more love could've gone into it to be honest.

-Switching guns (handgun to Magnum and shotgun to rifle) is still as wack as the OG RE4. There definitely could have been a work around with all the buttons you have access to.

Overall, loving it still, just needs more options in how to play it.

I bought it on sale for $10 on PS4. I gave it a shot with a completely open mind. I looked past the Sonic '06 long load times. I looked past the minor graphical glitches. After about 5-6 hours of stiff gameplay, the camera going inside my character's mouth, disappearing guns, audio cutting out, and a script that was trying wayyyy too hard to be "super cool for the young crowd," I gave up. Deleted all 108gb off my PS4. Yes, 108 GIGABYTES. Complete embarrassment.

I'm sure they set off to make a great game, but even if they No Man's Sky it, I'll need a complete overhaul to come back.

Pros
+My first Arkane game. Now I can see why so many people love Prey and the Dishonored series.
+Environments are so much fun to explore at different times of day to see what was switched up.
+The enemies are IDIOTS...but it's explained why that is in the story. I feel like they integrated a reason for some of the bad AI behavior into the world itself. Thought that was funny.
+I've been waiting for time loop games to finally become popular, and we're here at last.
+Legendary weapons that transform are so dope. The dual pistols and that shotgun I used the whole game along with a silenced pistol. More of that please.

Cons
-I felt as though it was easy to get way too powerful way too quickly. Stealth felt like a bore once enemies with rare drops appear in the wild, and any normal gun can become a powerhouse. It also took away from sidequests like "What's in this safe that needs a crank?" Or "What's behind this door with three combinations?" Usually just guns that are weaker than the ones I found while finding the combinations. Anything purple should not have been dropped or found in the wild by anyone. Maybe Julianna could've dropped 1-2 instead. I think they were going for a randomized loot thing, but I'd prefer less and more quality than more and useless by the end.
-I was hoping for a bit more Majora's Mask-isms to exist. The whole "guys digging a hole, come back later!" Leads to jack shit. More manipulation from morning/noon should've affected afternoon/evening more. Scenarios like, "What if I kill Fia then meet up with Charlie?" that could result in more purple upgrades/guns or something. I know they did this somewhat with Frank, but I just wish there was more in the world overall.

Lastly, I'm hoping there's DLC that shuffles everything around more. Give more backstory as to who the Visionaries are, who they were before the loop, their relationship with Colt, etc. Maybe be able to kill all Visionaries in one loop but in many different ways. That could add plenty of replay value just by shuffling around characters. Explain it away with quantum theory or something, I'm not picky.
