A great improvement from the first game in the franchise. While the first game was a great start, it did have its flaws and Among Thieves takes the sequel up a notch.

Firstly, the sheer feel of epicness that this game has compared to the previous game is awesome. Between the suspenseful cutscenes, the larger set-pieces many of the levels have, to the variety of locations there are make this game feel much bigger. From the opening cutscene that sets the stage and pace to the awesome train sequence, there are so many cool sections that keep the flow and entertainment going.

The combat feels a bit better than the prior game. The first game felt a bit clunky with the combat and shooting, this time it feels more fluid and less awkward. A couple new weapons are thrown into the mix, but for the most part it's mostly the same weapons from the fist game unfortunately.

With all the positives, the one negative I'd have for this entry would be the story. It's nothing to write home about, but it does seem to follow the familiar beats of an adventure/treasure hunt story. Given the intro to a new character, Chole, gives a nice dynamic with interactions between you and her as well as the rest of the cast.

This sequel was so much fun to play and has me looking forward to continuing the franchise. The first was a solid start, but this one just ups everything and is a high point of the franchise so far to me. Fantastic game that shows Naughty Dog was finding their footing with this franchise.

Love the setting of the 1930s within the Mafia. Compelling
story and characters with some slight twists in the story I
didn't see coming. The atmosphere of the city is top notch and makes me just want to walk or drive around the city taking it all in. The remastered graphics look quite good, especially in cutscenes. Some textures throughout the game had a few hiccups, but overall it looks stunning with the upgrades the game was given. Enjoyed all my time with this one and look forward to continuing the other games in the series.

Bioshock is a masterpiece in my eyes. Most of this game is top notch, while some aspects can feel dated playing in 2023, it's still one of the best games around. The story is engaging with a twist nearing the end I didn't see coming. The gunplay by today's standards is a little lacking, but it's still not too bad. Adding plasmids as a way to give some combat variety is nice as well.

The atmosphere to this game is so well done, giving off some creepy vibes at times. The underwater city of Rapture is just so breathtaking and eerie knowing you're in an enclosed city under the ocean. A replay of this game was so much fun and the game still holds up remarkably well to me.

The Quarry had me hooked from the beginning. I've always had a soft spot for decision-based games like these since the prime days of Telltale. Add a horror spin to this game and I'm in. Overall, a great experience with only a couple gripes. I felt the pacing towards the end of the game was off. The characters kept me interested and the acting was decent from a cast of known actors. Some of the dialogue can be cheesy, but it adds to the cheesy horror vibes from some older films. Graphics are impressive, but the character animations can be a little stiff and the facial animations can be a bit awkward at times. I still had a great time with the game and will definitely go back from repeat playthroughs.

The first entry into the Uncharted franchise. It shows some age, as expected since it's a game from 2007. The combat can feel a bit clunky and aiming with the Dualshock 3 controller can get aggravating at times. The story isn't groundbreaking, as it feels like a typical "treasure hunt" action story, but I'm a sucker for those so it was an enjoyable experience to go through in my first time playing this.
