I like it when the girls kiss

A perfectly middle-of-the-road runner game that, for some reason, I decided to 100%
Most of this was easy. It's a fine enough game save for some bugs where you escape into the infinite dark void, finally freeing the character until you decide to reload.

But then there's "Mass Creation".

Mass Creation needs you to "interact with 10000 objects". I'm still not 100% sure what counts for this, but it is the only achievement with this high of a bar to clear in the whole game. I certainly did it though. It took me over a year on and off, but I did it.

Fuck.

A wonderful throwback to classic N64 games which left me craving more.
Also her entire ass is out unless you turn that off. Very powerful

I genuinely want to love this game. The world is fun, the gameplay is ... it's a Bethesda game, but it's a nice bit of junk food. but just... the glitches make this game nearly unplayable, even now. Honestly, the fact the game has got better makes the fact I could lose all my progress due to a bug so much worse.

While I see a lot of interesting potential in this game, it is buried under a thick layer of irritating design choices and ableism that meant that I could only cope with around... three hours of it? I think.

This game is, overall, Supermassive's best work I've experienced. It's certainly not flawless, and your tolerance for some of the "well, that just happened" moments will probably vary (as with it still using the g-slur and having like... a travelling freak show that was still running in 2016? I guess? That sucked), and act 3 in particular really falls apart as the game struggles to stay on track with your choices, but for one playthrough this was genuinely a lot of fun. If I have time, I hope to listen to the in-game podcasts, which was a highlight when I experienced them briefly, and to explore how well this game holds up to additional experimentation.

Edit: An addition upon playing the movie mode on "Gorefest", this game is a better game than it is a movie. Movie mode highlights that this story has a lot of plot holes you won't always fill in, and even with the more satisfying ending Gorefest provided (along with the non-alternate soundtrack being significantly better, copyright strikes be damned), my opinions are mostly still the same. Watching a second playthrough with friends highlighted that the game's story can be very uneven, with my second run through causing as many new bad moments as good ones, but I very much still enjoyed my time with the game.

I spent an hour in the first level, beating my head against the moon logic puzzles and repeatedly behind harassed by a child who was not scary. The game then caused several key items to clip out of the world, making the core puzzle impossible to solve. Restarting the level, I managed to solve the rest of the puzzles in the first level after an hour or two, but the child kept catching me out of nowhere, repeatedly resetting the objective slightly. This was not scary. This was not fun. This went on for 3 and a half hours before I gave up.

I think there are worse games than this, I wanted to go in and appreciate what it did well. Instead I was in a hell of my own devising, slowly whittling away any joy I was feeling and leaving me a desiccated husk.

Thank you KiwiVee for gifting me this game! It's possibly the worst thing I've ever played.

Money isn't worth as much as it used to be, google "Inflation" to find out more

I only spent a short time with this, but it honestly this feels like modern attempts to make NES style games do to me. It's genuinely remarkable how well it has aged.

It's honestly remarkable this thing even works on GameBoy Color, even if the need to squint to see the graphics properly make the Switch release a pain to read, and the game has little going for it outside its existence

This game hates me and it hates you too

I do not know why this game is so good. But it is, somehow.

I am still reassembling my atoms after the effects of this game scattered them across time

Despite having some interesting ideas hidden in the garbage, this game also made me incredibly miserable. Like, Kane And Lynch 2 was more fun than this. I suffer.
