Insanely fun gun-kata bullshit. Some of the revisions and additions I'm not crazy about in comparison to the original—there's a few moments I feel try a bit too hard to be better than the original and a few moments that I think don't hit as hard with the removal of a few scenes, and I don't personally like the merchants new voice as much as the old—but the combat is so insanely fun that I can look past most of it. I still think RE4R is great but, unlike 2, I can't say it's eclipsed the original. It will never be as important as the game it remade, but it's still well worth the time spent. Just, y'know, play the original first imo.
