Best Pokemon game to date, only real flaw I can see is some pokemon evolving too late, some TMs being gated to postgame, and pretty annoying encounter rate, everything else of this game FEELS like a labour of love, please play this.

Slightly worse than its prequel, with a weaker story, it is still the 2nd best pokemon game to date.

Good game, too many HMs, weird level spike for the league, very dumb story with pretty empty characters, but all the other aspects should be the standard for any pokemon game.

Like Emerald, too many HMs, also weird level spikes on Wake's gym and the league, getting fossils and shards from the underground is very tedious but not game ruining, a bit slow but there are honestly slower games in the series.

My opinion on this game soured a bitover the years, with an amazing artstyle, iconic scenes, finally the Kanto region with DECENT ROUTE DESIGN, it's a shame stuff like the poor pokemon selection, very bad level curve and other issues like evo stones tied to the pokegear or postgame and a nothing story still plague this game.

Decent game, pretty bad remake, OST is 95% a downgrade, for some reason every gym leader had its levels lowered by 1?
No battle frontier, in general the 3D artstyle makes the pokemon look very lifeless, but a sure improvement were the characters, massive improvement over the original, everything else? Not so much.

Definite improvement over gen 1, but the level curve is insanely bad in the 2nd half, plus a lot of items like evolution stones are gated to the pokegear or post-league, also to the game is attached a nothing story.

Better than the original solely because of the improvements gen 3 brought to the series, otherwise incredibly boring to go through with close to no difficulty even playing set mode/no items or any HC nuzlocke for that matter.

Amazing artstyle even if pokemon still look lifeless, there is a lot of quality regarding the technical aspects of this game, unfortunately it's held back by being boring, slow and draining and the fact that it doesn't let go of your hand EVER, good story, but if the game is not fun I can't stand it regardless.

This game is unfinished and it shows, extremely boring, baby easy, and forgettable.

Insanely good ideas, great character writing and very good ending, surrounded by shit balancing, no level scaling and millions of technical problems
