Great, addictive filler, but still filler. It doesn't do much for me, but it's recently been the first game I turn to when I am tired and don't want to think.

I dream of a game that is more than this. I get frustrated while playing it and imagining a game that is more. But that's not what the game is.

I have not fallen in love with Bloodborne, but I appreciate it and think of it fondly. In my eyes it feels incomplete, and I feel like that says more about me than the game itself.

I hope for a sequel one day.

A mixed bag. I do not believe this game or its sequel benefit from taking on an open world, loot based progression, or the metroidvania aspects of locking off parts of the world behind skill unlocks. While the combat can be fun, I think myself and others are primarily playing this game for the story, and while the story flounders at points, somehow bogged down by both stretching out moments that needed shortening or to be removed entirely, or not fleshing out some enough/giving them enough space to grow, it is still an engaging story that carries this amalgamation of too many ideas crammed into itself.

It feels apparent to me while playing this that less would be more here.
