it will surprise nobody to know that the video game "made" by a nintendo youtuber isnt all that good

just kinda feels bad to play. does that thing i hate in platformers where the character has like no momentum and feels like controlling an arkanoid paddle. also, character abilities being locked behind a progression system really makes the early levels feel like they exist for little to no reason. like oh boy, i get to interact with the one or two level gimmicks and jump, how fun. oh, next world i get to jump a second time? hell yes!!! feels weirdly too forgiving also? you have enough health at basically any point that just barelling through levels not paying attention to enemies or hazards is a lot faster and comes at little to no consequence with the generous checkpoint system.

worst part was the music, god. hate this sort of overblown chiptune mush that those nintendo youtuber types like so much. if youre gonna go for that 80s fm synth type sound i vastly prefer the approach of something like megaman 9 or vvvvvv that at least tries to make it sound like something that could actually exist on that hardware instead of having it insist so hard on itself
