Very psychelic, very mellow wit, interesting gameplay, glad i backed it.

I played this on a whim with a friend back in my old apartment. She was staying over to dodge some family shit and we ended up playing through the entire game in one night, staying up till 4am to finish it. I recommend the back half of the game to be played during the witching hour especially.

This one is hard because I am giving it 5 stars for being a perfect reimplementation of the game engine but also the remaster isn't very good. The updated art looks too smooth and the remastered audio loses its original tone sometimes. Honestly I recommend just playing it with original sound and graphics.

2017

At first I started this thinking I'd see some really cool architecture and a neat gameplay concept. What I didn't expect was to be immediately won over by two incredibly written characters with a fantastically messy relationship.

i've never played a rhythm game that had my exact favorite genre of EDM at its core and this one does and it is so good!

This is one of the best-written and most interesting idle games I've ever played. It uses the format of seasoning and incremental advancement in really interesting ways that tie into a metaphysical story. I haven't finished it yet because it's a LONG game but i am very intrigued by the direction its heading.

Four stars because Marceleine the Vampire Queen is a chex warrior in it. Otherwise fairly meh, though a comfy remake of a real classic.

Chex Quest is actually fantastic. They're great goofball shooters with a fun cartoonish aesthetic that works really well in the Doom engine! All three episodes play extremely well together. It might be a little counterintuitive, but Chex Quest 3 is a collection of all three episodes by the original authors. Def worth a play!

damn they sure did manage to make a game more annoying that heretic. other than some real agonizing level design the game plays really well, and it's got decent atmosphere, but damn, those levels are bad.

it's as good as the previous game, but uh, i softlocked myself and then lost the save game in an organizational error. so i don't think this one is getting finished by me lol

A bit slow at times, but a meditative ambience. Interesting story, no real challenges to focus on. Good if you're looking for something a little more involved than a twine game.

some pretty cool puzzles and arg-like feel.

I've been playing various versions of this game since 2014, never having beaten it, until yesterday (2021)

I really really dig this game. It pulls everything together in the end to make this assertation about the complexity of confronting our own problems, the way we repeatedly go up against them, and how we need to listen to ourselves. It resonates on a lot of my own feelings about needing to take breaks and recenter the self.

It's a great game if you like puzzly point-and-clicks mixed with survival mechanics. Multiple difficulty levels let you play a much more puzzly game or more survival-focused game depending on what you prefer.

It looks really good but it was completely unapparent what i needed to do and got killed by a sirenhead when standing around the car at the opening.

extremely good! final boss really killed the mood though, astronomically tougher than the game up to that point
