I was doing alright with collecting resources and fulfilling build requests, and trying to work on plot advancement and NPC relationships quickly filled the rest of my time. Then the game introduced farming and animal husbandry and I simply didn't have the time or mental energy to engage with or care about those things. Mechanically it kept getting wider instead of deeper, resulting in feeling overwhelming and unfocused.
