Loved it as a kid, but I can see it's problems and why it isn't very good.
This game succeeds in everyway of the orignal game.
The story is not afraid to show the dark themes that come with war. Like warcrimes, excutions etc. Also the main cast has more personal character depth.
We see that the main character makes mistakes and has to live with it throughout the entire game. Something which causes drama among other characters.
In terms of gameplay it introduces a few new mechanics like the new unit the grenadier, but not much has changes gameplay wise.

Multiplayer is a nice addition but the single player feels a bit underwhelming. I still prefer the first portal over the second.
