Wouldn't say it is a perfect game, but I think it's the closest of perfection Sonic Team can get. Very few mid stages and the ones that are good are AWESOME.

Honestly, almost as good as S3&K. I just don't think it has the same appeal to it because it recycles stages. If it was all original, I would've probably liked it more.

An exemple of a reimagination done right. The classical Sonic is totally different from the originals, but it's SO fun to play, and the moderns are a massive step up from Unleashed.

The only reason why this is below Generations is that it does have some boring stages, but the gameplay is perfectly refined and the level design is really good.
