"Mom, can we get Exit 8?"
"No, we have Exit 8 at home."

The Exit 8 at home : this.

$14.99 is absurd.

Defender of the Crown is.... not good. Specifically as it is on the NES (I'll argue it is quite a bit better on other platforms, but personally I have not played all of the ports.)

But even the NES gives us a great soundtrack, and absolutely beautiful still-frame pictures.
As a child, the only thing I ever liked about this game was the image of Robin Hood standing in the forrest.

On one hand we have a few "minigames" which range from "that was ok" to "what the actual hell am I doing and how did I die?"
The majority of the game doesn't feel too different from Risk or Settlers of Catan.

Unfortunately, no matter how you really spin it, Defender of the Crown is an impressive spectacle (especially as seen on the Amiga, I'd say) but leaves a lot to be desired in gameplay.

But man it sure is pretty.

Like many movie licensed games of the era, Toy Story was unfairly difficult considering the movie was aimed towards children, and this game still gives me some problems as an adult who's been playing it since it was released.

The RC car levels are particularly inexcusable for having less than stellar controls.

I will still go back and play this from time to time for the sake of nostalgia, but only a handful of stages actually feel like good and fair designs.

Trog! Is the best "maze game" a la Pac Man besides Pac Man itself.
3 stars because watching your character get eaten absolutely made me cry multiple times as a young child.

With the HYPE TRAIN for Baldur's Gate 3 going full steam ahead I decided to look and see what games in the series I should check out (having only played the original 1 and 2, but knowing there were more that I never looked at).

I had no idea that Dark Alliance was closer to Gauntlet, if I had I would have been all over this 20 years ago!
A fairly simple hack and slash, mechanics wise, set into a D&D style world. If that sounds appealing for you, this is worth a try.

I poked a fish with the paddle. Just like in real life. Except in real life I'm not in Norway.

Zoop was pretty much everywhere for some reason, and yet no one really seemed to talk about it.
On one hand this is "just another puzzle game".
On the other hand... it's a pretty good one!

Would have loved to actually have given this a try - but early in it's life it was bogged down and nearly impossible to get into a game, or lagged to hell and back.

aaaaand then it was quickly abandoned by pretty much everyone. Did anyone actually successfully play this?

Gave me flashbacks to being a fast food manager - except this time I could yell at my friends for being terrible kitchen employees. Pretty great game!

There is a definite Cool factor in Alien vs Predator for the Atari Jaguar. Playing as a Xenomorph, a Predator, or a Colonial Marine in brooding atmospheres that really set the tone.

Unfortunately the gameplay really isn't anything particularly unique despite the character options - and the most boring sounding (Marine) is the one that seems to offer my favorite gameplay.
