Micro Machines 1 and 2: Twin Turbo
I'm really disappointed. The concept of a racing game that uses toy cars in big environments is amazing. It's a shame this game is basically unplayable. I had to use save states in order to finish all the single-player modes.
The main issue with this game comes with the physics. This has to be one of the slipperiest racing games I ever played. Every track feels like it has been ran over with soap. You are gonna slip and slide everywhere. The track design is really passable-or-miss, with many choosing to have super tight turns only on the tracks that have really fast vehicles. The graphics are exactly what you would expect for a game boy color game, but it honestly really hurts my eyes having pixels moving on my screen so fast, there's one offending track in particular that I genuinely believe is epileptic, using white and blue and having them pass by the screen super quickly.
If you use save states and get into the flow with some of the more manageable vehicles, you can derive a lick of enjoyment from this game. But it's really not worth it just for that.

Isles of Sea and Sky
Absolutely phenomenal puzzle game that feels more like an adventure/Zelda-like because of upgrades and how it unlocks different islands/rooms as you go. As someone who typically does not enjoy puzzle games, it went out of its way to make me feel extra clever when I completed a challenge, and it was a joy to explore and find new goodies around the world. Huge recommend!
