played this one probably the second most out of all of these. it’s touhou, pretty self explanatory. i would have had 7 and 8 on this list too but i don’t remember anything from when i played them lol

dig the bug aesthetic a ton, feels really refreshing compared to the standard blowing up of machinery. cool vibes and awesome gameplay to boot

good. idk what to say it’s just Good. the first game in the series

heavily felt like this one was just made to eat up quarters. way too much going on on-screen and feels way less inspired than the other games in the series.

apparently this is peak on the regular mode but i don’t have the game anymore so lol. played arcade mode and was bombarded by way more bullshit than anticipated. cool mechanics all in all tho.

has a really unique skillset and aesthetic for a cave shmup, love charging up the laser while creating a forcefield of death. pretty neat one

genuinely terrible. most of the time you can stay still and not even be hit, enemies don’t really shoot at you and just kind of…shoot. when the game does actually get challenging it’s pretty bullshit and ends up being random shit flying everywhere for the sake of eating up quarters. lame ass game but the mechanic where you build up energy by grazing bullets is pretty great.

almost no one has played this, basically a CAVE inspired shmup that uses a lot of stuff from ketsui specifically, really fun despite the pretty lame presentation. this is a must play for bullet hell fans
