Bethesda Game Studios Ranked

Bethesda Game Studios are probably one of my favorite developers of all time. Oblivion was the first game from them that I played and it got me into RPGs and its helped me refine my tastes as a gamer. They create amazing worlds to explore and outside of Obsidian, theres no RPG developer I love more! This is my ranking list of all the BGS games I have played. I have played some of Daggerfall but none of Arena, so I'm not really going to include them because the modern Bethesda only really kicked off with Morrowind IMO. Also not including mobile games. I have attached a note to each game to explain why its ranked where it is on the list.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
My first BGS game and probably still my favorite. The OST is my favorite soundtrack of all time and the atmosphere is just unbeatable to me. It has its flaws sure, but its still my favorite. I hope those rumors about an Oblivion remake are true.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition
10/10 - Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. Great game!

2

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
8/10 - Bethesda's best Fallout game (but still second to New Vegas) and really when they approached the IP with passion and creativity. It also still has probably the best main story I've played in a BGS game (we'll see when I play Starfield).

3

Fallout 4
Fallout 4
I had grown sour on this game over the years, basically up until Starfield released, but after playing Starfield it actually made me go back to Fallout 4 and appreciate a lot of its merits. Yes, I still have my issues like the voiced protagonist and lack of role playing, but this game definitely made a bigger impression on me then how I am currently feeling on Starfield.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Have not beaten this game yet, but I have sunk a ton of hours into it. Morrowind is a game that may seem archaic at first, but once you get past the learning curve its a great game to play. I love the sense of exploration in this game and the fact that you have to pay attention to directions and sign posts to know where to go is just so cool to me.

5

Fallout 76
Fallout 76
While this game is a lot better then it was at launch and I have sunk many hours into it, its just not Fallout to me and it lacks a lot of what makes BGS games great. At the end of the day it just feels like a cash grab where they tried to get money they got from ESO, out of Fallout.

6

Starfield
Starfield
An ambitious game from Bethesda but a disappointing one from me. Story and companions just fell flat for me and theres lots of other things that knocked it down a peg or two for me. The leveling system is great though and I love the ship combat.
