not morally egregious per se but rather a depressing culmination of a decade's worth of design trickery and (d)evolving cultural/social tastes and otherwise exists as insipid twitchcore autoplaying bullshit that should come with a contractual agreement binding its devotees to never speak prejudicially about mobile games or musou ever again lest they face legally enforced financial restitution. just play nex machina man. or watch NFL. been a fun season for that. fuck the review man let's talk sports in the comments

GERMANY 1 X 2 JAPAN LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

midweek update...watched the highlights of japan v germany, it was sick. what does everyone think of the world cup so far?

Shitpost after shitpost of incongruences. Its almost like Qatar is another universe lmao

I have kinda avoided watching the world cup because the circumstances around it are a disgrace, but I couldn't avoid taking a peek at Germany vs Japan, and oh boy, it's pretty much a Captain Tsubasa moment
I have been sticking to my guns and avoiding the world cup. It's getting to the stage where it's very difficult however, as there's been a few upsets already and would happily watch England get brought down a peg or two, especially after the armband cowardice.

My refuge of the NBA is not providing much comfort as the Bucks are in a slump and injuries are making it worse.

iran vs wales rocked hard, world cup magic

now i wanna see US do well tonight so that the Contra Cup Classic on Tuesday is one to remember

I had very low expectations of the US doing well despite having stats wise one of the best defense this world cup (maybe my anti-US bias), but they really surprised me how well they held off England. I saw so many England fans get so pissed even if a tie is still a W for them.

who is winning in jets vs. jaguars tonight? i'm picking the jags, T-Law is on fire.

im thinking jags as well honestly but it’s gonna be a tough game bc jags need a fair bit to go right to make playoffs and jets are going for a skin of their teeth 7th seed wild card spot. i think it’ll be a fierce match, im really looking forward to it

the Jets defense is going to be the scariest thing for them to deal with. but the Lions have kind of cracked the code on surviving against them, i.e "don't throw to sauce gardner." as a Lions fan I'm really glad they gameplanned correctly for it, but I hope the Jags do to because I love how good they've looked.

jags are my teams divisional rivals but my team stinks so i dont mind rooting for the jags for sure. respect for being a lions fan, this season feels like you're being rewarded after all these years and all of those games they've played have been so damn fun to watch lol. im hoping they have a more promising future from here on with motor city dan at the helm

it's crazy to have other people be excited for the Lions too. when Matt Patricia got hired I outright stopped watching them and watched the Saints instead because I knew it was gonna be another 5 years of shit ( i was right !!! ) but goddamn they are looking amazing. we have a GM who can actually assemble great teams, which I never thought I'd see. Also who is your team?

i figure part of it is everyone likes to see an underdog win but it really helps when that underdog has a genuinely exciting style of play, that game against the vikings was nuts. it was the 4th quarter comeback against the bears that really made me start dialing into their season, i hope they make playoffs

uh speaking of vikings lmao im a colts guy. it’s not been a fun season

the primary issue is imo our roster is built like shit but there are so many secondary and tertiary issues that just clash and compound the core issues and anytime any of them seem resolved old wounds start resurfacing. it’s like an ouroboros of falling dominos. matt ryans weaknesses have been clear and apparent since week 1 which gives pass rushers easy reads, our oline has regressed dramatically and the answer for half the damn season was shifting positions around and praying, wide receiver corps and tight ends need a lot of work, pretty much the only functional unit is our defence and special teams and even our defence is getting gassed bc the offence cant produce any results or sustain momentum. complete and total mess of a team atm

the Colts really need to invest in a proper QB. Philip Rivers was a stud, but Carson Wentz? Matt Ryan? They HAVE TO invest in a proper QB because their defense and special teams are incredible, if the offense can start producing the Colts can whoop some ass.

well if things continue as they are we should be getting a high draft pick so that’s that. im not fully sold on the upcoming qb prospects but anything beats the carousel we’ve been on, gotta take the risk sometimes. i guess there’s also the chance we go rogue - say nick foles starts unexpectedly balling out, or we get that rourke kid from the CFL, or we commit to ehlingers growth despite his intensely shaky start - which could be beneficial bc we def need other key pieces beyond just a qb. but i think any considerations need to start there for sure

i'm actually a BC Lions fan so I've watched a lot of Rourke! he has kicked total ass for them so I would hate to lose him but would like to see his success translate to the NFL. i think Rourke/Foles/Ehlinger wouldn't be a terrible lineup. The coach is the other issue, but there's no fucking way Saturday is kept after that Vikings game. That was the first time in my life I expected to see an Interim-Interim Coach.

mm, i cant say i know a lot about the cfl despite. being canadian. but i hear rourke worked out w the colts earlier this season and i know he's been doing amazing work for the BC lions. im honestly more lenient to saturday than most - to me he's made mostly appropriate decisions since getting in despite being significantly understaffed, and almost no interim head coaches ever do well - but the optics of rehiring him would look terrible after this string of games. any mistake you make up there as a total rookie is reflected right back on you even if you point out he has the keys to likely the most broken team in the league atm. like i dont think it's necessarily all his fault that the team collapsed, i literally sensed it was going to happen once the vikings started playing with a bit more spirit. the first half was mostly a fluke since it was mostly points put on the board by defence/special teams; the colts can't do anything offensively and the defence failed to make key adjustments in the second half. i do think under saturday they've had more spirited first halfs and the oline went from totally abysmal to just 'bad' but bad teams will always find a way to lose and they have continually done so

honestly i can sympathize with that since Dan Campbell had a similar situation with the Lions, where no shit they went 3-13-1 in his first season, i don't think Don Shula could have won more than 3 games with that squad. I think he would have to have some incredible games with Foles under center to wipe 33-0 out of everyone's memory. (unfortunately Matt Ryan's legacy is going to forever be 33-0 and 28-3.)

more than a day late to say it but im happy i caught the giants wild card win :)

yeah that was a fun game to watch. i think internally everyone knew the vikings weren’t a team that could make it past the wild card or divisional round but for the giants to put up the fight that they did was super impressive

that jags/chargers game was an all-time classic and also proved how few people have watched a chargers game. anyone who has watched the chargers since 2004 knows that as soon as that field goal is missed the jaguars have won.
