Anyone who bought this game expecting anything close to the Sega Arcade game, I'm so sorry. Anyone who bought this game expecting anything close to a racing game, I'm so sorry. Anyone who had to listen to Drop Logic's "Initialize", I'm so sorry. The only positive I can think of is that at least the opponent actually moves, as slow as the first opponent is. Even Big Rigs at least had the infinite reverse bug and the unintentional hilarity of "You're Winner!" People will initialize this game once and never again.

Bloodborne

The most overrated Soulsborne game, maybe even the most overrated game of all time.
Bosses suck doo doo. The only good base game ones are Father Gascoigne and Mergo’s Wet Nurse. The boss roster is heavily carried by the DLC.
The areas are also just eh. The level design isn’t much to speak about and the only notable ones for me are Byrgenworth and Central Yharnam. Rest is either bad or mid.
And one of the praises i hear it gets the most is its atmosphere, which is cool, for like 3 hours. After that it’s the same drab “Dark scary place with blood and nightmare and blood and beast and nightmare”, it’s just so tiring after Central Yharnam.
Trick weapons are a good idea that are poorly implemented, since you’re only going to use one mode of the weapon over the other unless you force yourself to use the other because you never use it.
Also if the way to get the best gear is by doing Chalice Dungeons i would rather not. Because they suck ass. Like the rest of the game.

Mix of very high highs and very low lows. It definitely feels like the FFXIV team made this through and through. The boss fights and story can be so riveting and dynamic but also there's some real MMO ass dialogue and fetch quests that are so dry, it sucks the moon out of the sky. I enjoyed enough of the campiness that this is probably my favorite FF ever.
The game ends with Clive saying "This is your Final Fantasy" and if that doesn't sound rad as fuck then maybe this isn't the right kind of gaming for you.
