Man I love this game so much. It’s so unlike Disney to take their flagship IP and absolutely mutilate it just to see what the outcome would be. The art is some of the coolest I’ve seen in a game. The entire idea of taking popular Disney characters and locations and darkly twisting them is so awesome to me. Growing up on this game also helped me grow so fond of it. This game probably caused my love for indie horror games. Dammit! Even though the controls are wonky if you can look passed that you’ll find an incredible experience especially for Disney fans.

My favorite Paper Mario game. This was the first game and maybe the first piece of media ever to make me cry. The story goes way harder then it had too and it may be the only Mario game ever where the story is the most important part of the game. Story has always been supplemental to the gameplay in Mario games but this was a weird exception where the tried switching up the formula. The gameplay is a strange amalgamation of 2D Mario and RPG mechanics from past Paper Mario games and in the end it’s not bad but it’s not that great either. It’s really all about that story and the characters. Count Bleck’s theme lives rent free in my head. This game might’ve changed my life… if I had a nickel for every Wii game that changed my life I’d have a lot of nickels.

What a honking masterpiece honestly. Such a chill environment but such a chaotic game. The goose is one of my favorite video game protagonists ever tbh. The art style is very pleasing on the eye and the classical music composition from Debussy are a great touch. The puzzle solving is fun and that mad dash at the end of the game is exhilarating. If you haven’t played this game you have no love or happiness in your life.
