Kjartan45 completed Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
loved the basegame and loved sunbreak too, the scroll swap thing adds so much to the combat, the followers system was really cool too, I miss kamura so much tho, elgado is not as cool, in kamura I felt at home, elgado is just ok, some people hate on anomaly investigations, its ofc not perfect but at least theres something to the endgame, I think its just fine, they say this is the easiest mh, I cant really say cause this was my first, but now that I finished it I can see that some monsters cant stand a chance to the amount of options you have to attack them, BUT risen elders and high lvl anomaly quest monsters hit sooooo hard too, you also have a lot of deffensive skills so it kinda evens out, I feel like it depends a lot on the weapon to monster matchup, and ofc the skills you have equipped, some matchups arent very desirable and I think thats ok, as an example tigrex in base rise without hammer's keeping sway (sunbreak only) and evade extender/window was especially annoying, but that was my cue to try on another weapon/skills, I think followers and buddies can go wild and make the whole thing easier too, they can drag the attention of the monster so you can hit them for free etc, thats true to multiplayer too, as far as I know monster hunter was actually made for you to play 4 hunters vs monster from the start so theres that, Im fine with you not fearing the monsters that much, and just have a blast dominating some of them (some people thinks thats kinda boring), also some monsters were scary at some point, like the first few times I was fighting them, magnamalo/furious rajang etc, nowadays I fight them just like every other monster, I probably just got better and more patient, more experienced with builds too, I think you can nitpick and say rise is super super easy cause you have a hundred tools to obliterate some monsters, but you can also say oh its super hard cause risen shagaru magala gives you basically no openings, fill your screen with a bunch of shit that hits you, have an instant grab out of fucking nowhere and does a shit ton of damage, back in HR apex zinogre was like that too, with early MR gear he was still kinda hard, these cases are all true, I think if I fight risen shagaru magala 100 times I would think he is easy too, but I dont think he is particularly fun so the few times Im fighting him will feel harder than the average monster, thats fine and understandable, at the point of late MR you probably fought diablos/nargacuga/rajang a billion fucking times so they will feel easy, especially if rise is not your first mh, and especially with rise/sunbreak new tools, I can talk about that for hours but all I can say is that Im overall satisfied with the difficulty, a lot of monsters could be harder and some could be easier/less annoying but whatever, at the end of the day THEY ARE DIFFERENT MONSTERS, they shouldnt be all the same difficulty obviously, if mh wilds ends up being significantly harder I aint complaining too, having a few monsters that are VERY HARD wouldnt hurt cause some veterans apparently really want them, average players might not handle them without multiplayer/followers but thats the price you pay, the older entries are supposedly harder so probably gonna try freedom unite now to experience the old generation, heard some hitboxes are literally unfair haha, then portable 3rd because the village will prob feel like kamura, I think I'll never uninstall mh rise because although theres only 14 weapons, each of them has a lot of different playstyles, Im at about 400 hours and I main 5 weapons, can easily see myself getting a few hundred more just playing with those I havent already, I think for the amount I paid I got a ton of fun, trying on different layered armor/weapon is really cool too, that was kinda long thx for reading this
