Kamakura/Ashikaga Japan: 1180 - 1477
From the Genpei Wars and the establishment of the Kamakura Shogunate, Mongol invasion/Genko, North and South court period, Onin War. Some people familiar with Japanese history consider this period crazier than the Sengoku and Imperial Japan period.

It is often said that the conflict between the Minamoto and Taira clans was a blood feud, but in reality it was not that fierce. It is a far more orderly conflict than that of the North and South dynasties about 100 years later.

The name "義経/Yoshitsune" is written as "愚将/foolish warlord" and reads "Yoshitsune. Even if I were in Yoritomo's shoes, I would have killed Yoshitsune.
(Taira no )Kagekiyo, defeat Yoritomo.

A scum monk. No, a genuine scum of the earth. Oda Nobunaga burned the area where many monks lived. (It's 200 years later. He had a wife and children, and he was not only a manizer, but also drank alcohol, ate meat, and committed female crimes, which were forbidden by Buddhist precepts. Moreover, they were better armed than the samurai and owned the largest number of firearms at that time. Nobunaga fired his guns in three-line shots, but Hongwanji fired his guns in five-line shots.) Even I'll burn it. I'll definitely burn it.

ほ、北条時行/Hojo Tokiyuki! I also read Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi. This may be the best manga for getting a whole picture of the Nanbokucho period. Is it like an introductory book? (The medium of manga may be more suitable for an introduction than textbooks or culture books because it can easily show difficult topics through pictures.) Frankly speaking, I am surprised that the Nanbokucho period is treated in Shonen Jump because it is not a popular period. (The majority of manga and Taiga dramas deal with Sengoku or the end of the Edo period.)
