Feels more like they came up with an edgy plot twist they really desperately wanted to shove into something, and worked backwards from there. I really wanted to love this, but for as short as it was it somehow managed to really overstay its welcome. Tons of stuff to interact with and none of it matters, none of it does anything or can be used to do anything. Just wastes your time with needless repetition (listen I love time loop stuff, I love Willem Dafoe... I don't need to hear his side of a phone call 5+ times, let alone the unskippable phone call that causes it). And for all of this, the story and writing couldn't have even been good! That's all it needed, and instead it went for THAT mess of convoluted meaningless garbage.
