[Copied from my Steam review]

Yeah, I don't love this. For the record, I love games like Life is Strange, Tell Me Why, etc. I expected this to be a more relaxing version of those. There's just nothing to do.

The art style and graphics are beautiful, but that's about it. I bought this game for $3 and it kind of feels like it. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but if you have $3 to spare, go for it I guess.

I don't love the choice of narrator. The voice doesn't seem to fit the vibe, but that's just personal preference. The controls aren't great; I started off with a controller but decided to swap to a keyboard instead so I'm not sure if the controller is better, but the hand position used to play isn't comfortable and rebinding the sprint key didn't work. Maneuvering is not easy because the wolf has a large turn radius. The jump feature is weird because it springs you forward, yet on the rocks, I fell several times because I was either just short of hitting my target or the mechanic didn't work at all. There is another section where you have to jump across a large ravine after getting a speed boost and I have no idea how you're expected to accomplish that and I honestly don't care to find out because the game also isn't engaging.

The pacing of everything is so slow. The story scenes drag because it's not really an interesting story, it seems like a lot of fluff. And maybe I'm just impatient (I am), but just casually walking through the woods collecting these mysterious glowing balls of light that aren't explained and waiting for what seems like forever for the next scene when the last 2 were right on top of each other, is pretty uninteresting. The wolf itself is slow and sprinting isn't much better.

There are weird gaps where the unexplained balls of light just... aren't there? It makes the spacing feel weird and the path isn't always immediately understood so I'm glad there's a detection mechanic. I have no idea what the rune rocks are for, though another review says they're just decoration even though the glowing light suggests importance. No idea what the big rune circle platform is near the mother and child talking about the dog. It says you need 25 of the balls of light, I had 35, but when I hit or held `F`, nothing happened. No idea who these people are or if the wolf is involved somehow. According to the other reviews on this game, there are several stories being told. This is not readily apparent. There is a mother and child at the beginning who seem to have no ties to the rest of what I've played. The father, of presumably a different family entirely due to his American accent and their French, is loving when the baby is born but immediately becomes the antagonist and just overall annoying.

2.5 stars overall just for Patently Stupid, I could play for hours. Split the Room is also good. I don't care for the other games, I just think these 2 hold up this pack that well.

I really enjoyed the storyline but the minigames got mildly annoying. I streamed it on Twitch while I had covid so it kept me busy :)
