A unexpectedly lovely gem of an early access game

Keeping in mind its early access, it will occasionally have a few bugs here and there, but they have never detered me or rendered the game unplayable.

It's a refreshing take on the detective genre that keeps on giving you that hit of adrenaline from solving a case, no matter if its an 5 minute case or one that can last hours with an expansive case board.

I can't wait to see it be expanded on as it gets updates and see how expansive the procedurally generated worlds can become and the new case types that will be added; especially with the added creativity of the community due to mod support being added very soon

This is a game I really wished I could have finished and enjoyed.

I recieved it for free after seeing a few videos on it previously and throughly enjoy the setting and fantasy this game takes place in and expand on and the story it is trying to tell.

Whilst I enjoy this and the RPG elements, the biggest let down in this game is unfortuntely the combat. Most of the time, the lock on feature does not work or is quite buggy and the melee just does not feel satisfying. Coming across an enemy gives a feeling of dread and unwant to participate in the fight which I hope improves later on as powers level up more, but I unfortunately cannot stick with it long enough to find out.

The entire game is a charming rollercoaster of emotions that sucks you in and makes you care about every inch of story it has to offer.

Watching Niko complete their journey and the friends made along the way and learning the story of the world you are in aswell as Niko's own personal troubles and fears combined with the sound, music and art design of the game just makes you get so incredibly invested, that it is hard to not just fall in love, laugh and be crying by the end!

Hormones aside, absolutely worth a playthrough moreso if you have managed to stay blind to this game. Took me around 8 hours of playtime to complete and many more hours of cuddling a plushie of Niko and wanting to give him some pancakes too!
