This game is definitely aimed for a young audience and I think it would be perfect as someone's first platformer. As an adult, I'd still highly recommend. There's something very special about this game. The art style and storytelling is fun. Your character's movement can feel strange at first, as it is much more floaty than a lot of other 3D platformers. However, once you get the hang of it, you'll be soaring around levels in ways that are profoundly fun and satisfying.

One of my favorite games of all time. Beautiful story that covers themes of grief, love, community, and environmentalism. By the end of the game Mara and your island start to feel like a virtual home. The amount of fetch quests you need to complete to experience the whole story is egregious, which is the only reason I don't give this 5 stars.

This game encapsulates what I love the most about the Sonic franchise. It is so overwhelmingly genuine and emotionally sincere and takes itself fully serious. It takes a silly premise and explores it in the most meaningful way it could. Banger soundtrack as well. If it weren't for the controls and camera causing serious problems in several levels then it would be 5/5 in my eyes.
