What a journey..
Ai: The Somnium Files is a game i really struggled for a long time figure out what is it about: Is it about the mystery, the puzzles or the characters? But now that i finished the roughly 25 hour adventure, all i can say is this is a game about hope and believing in the people you trust the most. Being that hope Iris, Tesa, A-SET or whatever honestly.

This game was divided in 3 routes i like to think, The Mizuki route, the Iris route and the True route. Without going heavy on details because i'd rather let the game do the talking, i must point out that what i really liked about each route was how different they all were.

Mizuki's focus was about family
Iris's route was about fate
True route was honestly the hardest to figure out but i believe is like a mix of both and how each event in the story connects as a whole making up for a beautifully written game.

The somniums were also cool, it did take some time to get used to them, mainly the logic that you need to use to solve all of them, I really liked the "Story" ones more than the "Puzzle" ones. But i think every single one of them was fun and engaging as a player, also Aiba is one the best characters in fiction.

Either way this is a title i'd really like everyone that enjoys adventure games to give it a try.
Looking forward to the sequel.

Overall really fun, the bosses were the best part of it, but i really disliked the mission structure in the first half, for example some where like go find this and activate that and it got old fast, thankfully the 2nd half is really solid and features some of the best levels. People like to make fun about the story but i think it was really well thought of i really appreciate what they were going for.
