Games that start good and get bad (with explanations)

Towards the end of act 2 the story decides that stakes are for losers and every possibly interesting story event can't have any lasting consequences whatsoever. Team member betrayed us? Nah he's chill dw. Main character got stabbed and fell off a cliff?? Nah he got saved offscreen dw. An eldritch horror has been released and will destroy the world?! Nah it'll just sit up there and wait patiently for you to finish your business.
First three levels are the best sonic content on the game gear with solid level design and physics. Immediately after is the one-two punch of the two worst zones in the entire series.
Level design gets really sloppy and the bosses get more and more unbearable culminating in the SEVEN MINUTE FINAL BOSS.
yeah this game is a masterpiece just ignore needing to walk back and forth through the phazon mines three separate times
what starts as a decent follow up to the original gets super grindy and unfun
Pretty solid beginner fire emblem until ryoma joins and he solos the entire game
it's so incredibly obvious the drop in budget going from disc one to disc two. Major story events are talked at the player by the characters sitting in a chair for large portions of disc two.
In the base game they blew their load with islands one and two and ran out of budget. In the dlc campaign they got their budget but didn't know what to do with it so they made the worst boss fight I've ever played.
World one is decent but immediately after every level becomes a fetch quest how fun.
